His reputation has skyrocketed in getting KO’d by Wilder. For one of the better boxers in the division his record is absent of any top class wins (best name on his record arguably Jennings or Thompson? Barrett?) and when he stepped up he got stopped, albeit in a competitive fight.

I’m still not sure how good Ortiz really is, but he does have solid fundamentals.
Well the story was no one wanted to fight him, He signed with Hearn for an AJ shot, that didn't happen, Whyte decided to fight Parker instead of Ortiz. we'll see if losing by KO results in more fights for him. Hopefully get a better idea of how good he really is.

But this forum is from the article, not a video. You commented on the article, you didn't mention a video. Did you get lost on your way to the videos forum?

AJ wont achieve anywhere near what Pacquiao did in his career. AJ wont get 60 wins. It’s obvious he’ll never be an 8 division champ, he won’t make HOF, he wont make tops on any p4p list and he won’t be a unified champion in his division. Anything else you care to say about Pacquiao? I’m not even his biggest fan but damn your animosity towards him is almost personal
Sorry to impinge but he is already unified champion. Now we , ( I say we as it’s a joint effort, he does the fighting I do the cheerleading ) are just waiting to become undisputed. When we flatten Wilder in April I will miss you and Red foxx, Curt henning, 5000 boxing, ilmatic, 1 hour, champion4 ever and the rest of you that I have lent my shoulder for you to cry 😢 on. You will all be sorrily missed

I'm also not comparing them but a couple of things you said are just plain wrong and make you seem dumb.

AJ is one fight away from being a unified undisputed champion in the heavyweight division.

Also if he achieves that and wipes out any other top contenders i.e. Ortiz, Usyk, Povetkin etc you can bet your ass he's in the hof first draft.
One fight away that’ll elude him because imho I don’t think he beats Wilder but that’s only imho

Fury is the lineal and for me there is yet no unified until all belts belong to one contender WBC, IBF, WBA the original top 3

You dont know what Deontay does in a tough fight with some who isnt sick, and going by some of these comments, poopy pants time is close..
I do rate Ortiz and prior to the fight I was saying if Deontay comes through this fight unscathed I will give him his ratings. He came through the fight and I respect the performance because irrespective of what you think about Ortiz he is a highly skilled accomplished boxer but when it was crunch time and panic stations for Deontay he didn’t have a clue. He didn’t even any semblance on how to survive. He didn’t attempt to hold just staggered forward and was just getting clobbered. That onslaught lasted for 50 seconds without one punch being thrown back even wilder raising his arm to block. The bell saved him but what he done after the doctor inspected him in the 8th round was admirable. He is a show stopper but that show ends April 2019 compliments of Joshua and Eddie Hearn productions
