My mistake. He did win a 2006 – gold medal. My point is to say he does not have actuall boxing skills is asinine...

    • Fury gets knocked out but the buildup to this fight should be hilarious. .

For someone to not consider Ortiz an actual "boxer" rather than a fighter looking for one big punch, shows a lack of knowledge of the sport. Ortiz is probably the best counter puncher in the heavyweight division, and as far as the total package, he is probably the best "boxer" in the division.
Of course, Cuban, extensive amateur background, southpaw, he’s certainly a boxer not just a fighter.

His reputation has skyrocketed in getting KO’d by Wilder. For one of the better boxers in the division his record is absent of any top class wins (best name on his record arguably Jennings or Thompson? Barrett?) and when he stepped up he got stopped, albeit in a competitive fight.

I’m still not sure how good Ortiz really is, but he does have solid fundamentals.

I swear you Americans think he carries the popularity of a modern day Mike Tyson, it's simply not true. He may proclaim to be 'the baddest man on the planet' but that doesn't make it so. Nobody takes notice because he fights nobody and has been poorly promoted.

Die hard UK boxing fans are happy with AJ/Povetkin and understand that Wilder is the one holding the fight up.
Silence the foolery! You've been arguing with me about Wilder and AJ for months!! Stop it! Everyone that's a fan of boxing.. up to an including the fighters and boxing analyst have been talking/arguing/debating.. about Wilder vs AzzJuice!

Ortiz was a fine Cuban School product...

              • A little too soon. Fury should wait until Summer 2019 for Wilder. Get two more tune-ups and Wilder gets older.

Which is exactly what you just did you little bîtch. I'm talking about retårded âss fanboys who don't know how to have a civil debate because they're so desperate to support an obvious liar in Deontay Wilder, Manny Pacquiao or Bob Arum. It has nothing to do with weight classes. Get your reading comprehension together bîtch. It's quite telling that the only thing you mention is my comments about Pacquiao when the only reason I mention him is to draw comparisons with Wilder and his retårded âss fans. You obviously don't have any defense of your big lying åss homie Deontay.
Annnnnnddddd you're still an idiot lol. That fact that you are comparing the two fan bases and have used terms like "black face" lets me know you did not take your meds today and/or you were dropped on your head as a kid. The negotiations between May & Pac and Wilder & AJ were COMPLETELY different. Their fan basis are COMPLETELY different. I know why you drew comparisons with the fan basis and its because you are deluded.

look how emotional you are lol. Are you a man or a women? serious question...maybe get off menopause first before you post on here ya female.

AJ wont achieve anywhere near what Pacquiao did in his career. AJ wont get 60 wins. It’s obvious he’ll never be an 8 division champ, he won’t make HOF, he wont make tops on any p4p list and he won’t be a unified champion in his division. Anything else you care to say about Pacquiao? I’m not even his biggest fan but damn your animosity towards him is almost personal
I too am a Pacquiao dan the guy is a legend.

I'm also not comparing them but a couple of things you said are just plain wrong and make you seem dumb.

AJ is one fight away from being a unified undisputed champion in the heavyweight division.

Also if he achieves that and wipes out any other top contenders i.e. Ortiz, Usyk, Povetkin etc you can bet your ass he's in the hof first draft.
