Why was Wilder expected to sign for a fight 1 year away with a flat fee??

Offering a flat rate for a ppv fight means u don’t want the fight. We will only be able to quantity Wilders worth after the numbers come in post fight. I bet the fifteen mill looks like a joke after that.

When DLH was offering a flat fee of 10 million for the first fight, this site was flooded with posters claiming GGG should accept. When he held out for a % and made way more than 10 million, those posters were silent. Or the posters that were insisting Wilder should take 12. Where did they go when it was increased to 15? They had nothing to say. When it's eventually increased to 20, not a single one will say they were wrong when they insisted he take 12.

However Maidana, Berto etc... Received flat fees to fight Floyd and they draw the same as Wilder going in
First of all, Berto had PPV upside. No idea if Maidana did. But Maidana wasn't selling 14,000+ tickets as the A-side like Wilder is. Maidana wasn't Showtime's top draw as the A-side like Wilder is. Not really a great comparison.

A fee that was gladly accepted by both the fighter and all his mangers/promoters/co-promoters.

        Do you negotiate fights?

No. Not gladly accepted. Very reluctantly accepted based on a hunch that even if they accepted, Hearn would still find another excuse. They accepted a deal they didn't like because they wanted to prove Hearn didn't want the fight next.

          Do you negotiate fights?
Yes. Nearly every day of my life.

If I was Hearn I’d do the same thing. It’s not worth it for Joshua to fight Wilder yet financially or risk wise. Just don’t pretend Hearn wants the fight now. If they wanted it theyd make it.

Can we just all find solidarity as boxing fans to admit that we all knew we’d be seeing Joshua vs Povetkin. If we can’t relate on that...

this is a percentage split fight. not a flat fee. but Wilder's acceptance proves he wants to decapitate AJ and that's what we all wanna see.

get the body bag ready for the stiff juiced up bodybuilder.
talk sense gumbo ...it's the beginning of august in 3 days time and the fight is gonna go ahead in the beginning of April ..that's 8 months gumbo plenty of time for wilder to face big titty breazeale and rest up a bit and then get fully prepared for the beating he is going to get from AJ.
8 month is nothing for getting a payday that is 6x higher than he has ever had lol

so now your comparing wilder to golovkin lol
Wilder is 5% of what triple ggg is in terms of status and owning world titles.
Wilder is a donkey who draws nothing

                    Get help, son.

                    Here's the truth.

Wilder is the biggest fight of his career.

                    Biggest as far as legacy.

                    Biggest as far as money.

And he is trying nickel and dime Wilder unlike any other champion he has had to face.

Because he knows he isn't ready and doesn't want it right now.
NZ is a small country like U.K i know thats hard to see off your stoop you probably never ventured off ? lol Parkers PPV are very pricey as well so hes generating A LOT more money then Wilder .

Wilder has ZERO PPVS in the UNITED STATES !

You cant discuss money bc Wilder is making 1.4 Million on average so you sound ****** added that Wilder resume will go down as the worst in boxing history potentially (Just look at the WBC top guys ) without a Joshua win so who needs who again besides money ?

You just proved how much of a pinhead you are.

You are trying to play it like Parker is a PPV star who deserves more than Wilder when in truth you can't even show me where he has generated more money thru PPV than Wilder's usual guaranteed purses.

I'll spare your silly arse the research: you won't find any fight Parker did like that.

I am still waiting for one of you AJ fanboys to explain the difference in treatment by Matchroom.

They needed Martin for a belt, he got 50/50.
They needed Wlad for a name, he got 50/50.
They needed Parker for more legitimacy, he got 32%

Wilder is worth more to AJ's career than ALL OF THEM COMBINED.

Both as far as legacy AND financially.

Yet, they are offering a flat fee?
                      They are offering 15%? 25%?

I get you wanting to defend your idol...but there is no defending this cowardice.

Hearn is making AJ look like a punk.
