What was the difference between the Roy Jones fight and any of his other fights?

He nearly fainted at the weigh in? That's a new one. Do you have any evidence for that?
he was hooked to the IV right after the weigh in. then ballooned to 184 next day. he was drained and in no condition to fight.

the difference is i never heard of another fight where Toney needed IV after the weigh in.

Roy fans have always withheld credit from Tarver and Johnson due to his weight issues. with that logic and to stay consistent Roy Jones gets zero credit for beating JT.

Haha, Who cares if Roy looked better? You don't judge who the champ is by that. Darius was the true champ who was stripped of his titles because they wanted Roy as their champ. It was bull****.

No, no, no my friend.......Dariusz was stripped because he avoided Roy and any serious competition like the plague. Enough with the revisionist history here.

^That right there shows your bias. No way did Tarver win that fight that convincingly. Did you even watch the fight? 7-5 Tarver would have been a stretch.

Jones has a list of names he did not fight in his prime, longer than a list of names he did fight. Yes he looked great but he did so against some atrocious fighters but that is not to discount his achievements of winning belts at middle, super, light heavy and heavy....well heavy was a paper belt but whatever.

Also, Jones passed the eye test for a while but was always going to be susceptible to disciplined boxers (Tarver) and punchers. He does not rank as high outside of people who have just seen youtube videos. top 50 for sure.

Haha, Darius was stripped because he was forced to fight a month after the hill fight, which for obvious reasons, he wasn't able to do. It had nothing to do with Roy. Roy picked those titles up by beating De valle and Johnson. Shows how much you know about that time. Kid.

No bias at all. I just know how to score a fight. Jones lost, Tarver won. Simple. Why do you think everyone called for the rematch? Because it was a robbery.

Or because it was very close.

Not a robbery. Not even close to a robbery actually.

Ok but do you have any actual evidence that he was hooked up to an IV? And if he was how do you know that's the only time he did?

And do you have any evidence that he nearly fainted at the weigh in? As even for Toney apologist standards I have never even heard that one.

He ballooned up because that is what he did. He always ballooned up after the weigh in.

There is literally no difference. Literally, there is no difference. If anything, he had to lose LESS weight at 168. Which conveniently was his excuse for all his piss poor performances at 160 and at 160 is when he was supposed to be in shape.
