    this thread in a nutshell

    nothing has been dispelled lol..

two cheaters clashed and the best cheater won.

    ZERO proof Floyd was dehydrated
ZERO proof a paramedic was there
it was not in hospital and non emergency = ILLEGAL

somebody says it takes 21 days to approve a TUE. but Floyd was approved in 24hrs.

the ONLY reason this became public is because of a request by Pacquiao to notify the opponent once a TUE was granted. without that request by Manny it wouldn't be known. ever.

I don't believe in the shoulder injury and i believe even less Floyd was ever dehydrated. even mildly.

two cheaters. stop crying. stop picking sides. it is what it is.

dude just accept it. Floyd was doing something illegal. but Pacquiao is no saint either because his shoulder injury is just as believable as the tooth fairy.

That's a regular TUE, not a retroactive TUE. Do you even know anything about this topic?

Don't remain ignorant. Do some reading on how retroactive TUEs work.

              ZERO evidence he was dehydrated
ZERO evidence an ambulance/paramedic was called.
ZERO justification for the illegal amount of 750mL.

approved for the TUE 3 weeks later.

Not at all, it is a more concentrated urine COMPARED to drinking water thus allowing the sample to pass the dilution test but still diluting the sample----remember sodium balance determines volume, water balance determines sodium concentration

in other words, although normal saline is isotonic compared to body fluid you are nonetheless loading up the patient with sodium and water and increasing extracellular volume. more volume means that more has to be cleared by the kidneys, hence the increase in urination. There is a higher renal blood flow and a decreased increase in oncotic pressure as blood is being filtered.

                  1. A clearly defined diagnosis.
                  2. Supportive evidence that no permitted alternative treatment can be
                  used.
                  3. The treatment has been ordered by a physician and administered by
qualified medical personnel in an appropriate medical setting. 4. Adequate medical records of the treatment

if the doctors and usada are so corrupt, why do we know about any of this? why did floyd call usada about the iv? why did he even need an exemption? why not keep the whole thing secret?

                    Can we agree on this:

1: Shortly after the weigh-in Floyd feels ill.
2: USADA sends medical representatives to examine the boxer
3: These medical representatives deem that Floyd suffers from dehydration
4: They approve of a large (yes large) IV drop
5: You claim they take urine samples before and after the IV which later comes out negative in doping test
6: They tell Floyd to ask for a TUE based on their medical examination, which is given by USADA some 3 weeks later.

Is that what we can agree on or do you have anything to add?

PS. Strange that you won't relate to this bit, but I guess its of course so selfevident to you that you skipped past it:

So just let that bit rest.

Ok. I have now found and read the 'essay' from USADA'. Link is here and details can be found in a link on that particular page:

Very interesting I must say and it doesn't put the highly regarded Thomas Hauser in a good light I regret to say.

USADA explains the situation fairly well and, based on their story, seem to have done everything by the book.

The one thing I did find unclear was this statement:

                    "
Mr. Mayweather declared the infusion in advance to the USADA DCO, who was made aware of the need for the IV due to Mr. Mayweather’s physical condition

                    "

So apparently Floyd was ill and the DCO was present. We don't know who diagnosed and determined the necessary treatment (with the massive IV) and that is ... well.... strange.

That Pac got shafted due to not being allowed a legal painkiller for his shoulder, has nothing to do with the USADA but is allegedly on the NSAC only.

YOU ARE AN ABSOLUTE IDIOT. SO THE IV ACTUALLY CONCENTRATES THE URINE MORE THAN DRINKING WATER.......?

YOU ARE BRAINDEAD. HOW THE FVVCK CAN THE SPECIFIC GRAVITY OF A SAMPLE BE DIFFERENT BASED UPON WHETHER AN IV WAS GIVEN OR WATER WAS GIVEN. THE SPECIFIC GRAVITY OF A SAMPLE IS THE SPECIFIC GRAVITY YOU COMPLETE IMBECILE.

JESUS CHRIST YOU'RE A MORON. HOW ABOUT A WORD FROM USADA ON WHICH WOULD PRODUCE A MORE DILUTED SAMPLE.

ARE IVs BETTER THAN ORAL REHYDRATION FOR PERFORMANCE?

IV infusions before sample collection could actually prolong the doping control sample process because it has a greater potential to produce multiple dilute samples.
