Are you ready for the heavy counter ? I hope you are. Valuev was not promoted by a Russian and the fight neither took place in Russia, I’m sure you’ll have some explanation though why Vladimír ***** had the scorecards ready before the fight though come on the suspense is killing us

This is a very intriguing match up!
I'm picking Usyk to win on points because he has a much higher punch output than Gassiev and stamina to burn. Gassiev is very fit, like all Abel's fighters. But, like all muscular power punchers, he has to pace himself carefully to avoid gassing. Usyk has the perfect style to take advantage of Murat's rest breaks, swamp him with non-stop punches, and win rounds.
Usyk needs to tie Gassiev up if he gets trapped on the ropes though, rather than shelling up himself and trying to weather the storm, which I've seen him do in other fights. Shelling up in front of a guy with such a lethal body attack as Gassiev would not be a good idea!

But no US tv means a lot of US boxing fans are going to forget about it, unfortunately. Out of sight, out of mind.
That's the price to pay for completely ignoring a market the size of America.

I feel the exact same way. Usyk struggled against Briedis, doesn't have an actual trainer to help execute a game plan, postponed the fight due to injury, was reluctant to fight in Russia, and refused to participate in the media workout. Those are some huge red flags going into the most important fight of his career. Promoters, analysts, and the media are mostly picking Usyk to win while a lot of boxers are leaning towards Gassiev. I think, giving the circumstances surrounding this fight, it could be Gassiev's night.
