Technically, AJ has made Wilder 4 offers to fight.

September 15th Wembley - $12.5m
September 22nd Wembley - $15m
November/October Cardiff - $15m
April 13 2019 Wembley - $15m

All of those offers were, or will be negotiated further. I fully understand Wilder waiting until after his next fight to re-evaluate the finances available to him. But Joshua's next date and location is set in stone and Wilder has had a lot of time already to agree terms and sign contracts. If he wants to take the chance of someone else stepping into that slot by stalling then that's up to him. But he can't go around saying AJ is scared anymore.


Now, look at the other side of the coin. Wilder has made just 1 counter offer.

October/November - $50m guaranteed for AJ or 50/50

No contract was sent. Meetings were cancelled. We don't even know what Wilder is making. This offer was non-negotiable. It was an attempt by Wilder to 'lowball' Joshua in the event of a 50/50 scenario.

I fully understand Joshua turning down this offer given the lack of details, his already sky high earning power and the unwillingness of Team Wilder to even negotiate financial terms like businessmen, instead preferring to try and paint AJ in a bad light by holding him to a couple of YouTube words he probably regrets saying. What would have happened had AJ not said what he did? Would they have still cancelled meetings?

So let's look at the facts.

AJ has made 4 fight offers, with dates and terms openly discussed, all of which were negotiated through dialogue.

Wilder has made 1 fight offer, with no details discussed and no negotiation allowed.


Please don't sit there and try to say the A side hasn't tried make this fight happen next. And let's not even mention almost 2 months of extensions applied to the WBA to avoid the mandatory to get this fight done.

1. Yes aj makes more money. Mainly because he was born in the uk and their fans support anything. Amir khan fills up arenas there for God's sake. It doesn't matter whether the contracts have been signed or not. The WBA told Hearn to give them a date for AJ vs Povetkin, which he did.

AJ vs Povetkin will be next. The only things that can stop it are AJ relinquishing his WBA title or Povetkin pulling out, neither of which is going to happen.

There is no way they are both not in on it, either that or Shelly is a ******. If it is true that Hearn manipulate him then Wilder needs to fire him. eddie hearn is a conman, like any other promoter. i have no doubts that finkel was fine with the fight taking place next year, but hearn is the guy who tried to act like wilder was ducking his guy when he wanted the fight in 2019 and in the UK for less money.
