        Whats the issue ?
so he should sign for an april 2019 fight, if he wins its a guaranteed rematch in which he isnt the a side (hed still be the b side), if he loses aj is not obligated to rematch him, no showtime, danz only, hearn picks the judges and ref, for a flat fee? This means even if aj looks terrible and or loses vs pedvtkin wilder is still locked into the flat fee for a future fight? This is what you are saying he should sign, yes or no?

If wilder agreed to all these terms and got the contract and didnt sign you would have a point but its simply not the case

AJ vs Povetkin is not going to appeal so much to the US fans who are going to be paying $70 to watch GGG vs Canelo, so Hearn isn't worried about the clash of dates.

The good news for those US fans is that he has also booked Wembley for another date in April, with 10k more seats available, and no opponent .. yet.
I'll certainly be watching GGG and Canelo but if Joshua and Povetkin is available (Showtime, ESPN or CBS) I'll be watching that as well.

Why are you calling me you all? There's only one of me here!

And I'm not saying that Wilder should sign now for a fight in April 2019. What I have said is that if he wanted the fight next he should have signed the contract for it while he had the chance.

Any profits from the USA, even if modest is better than not having them. The big profits will come from the fans in the UK.

Agreed but that has to go both ways.

I've just replied to a comment by you on that in another thread.

Hearn got an extension on the WBA mando by telling them he was trying to negotiate a unification with Wilder as AJ's next fight. He told Finkel and Wilder the contract he sent was to fight AJ next.

The WBA waited for over a month before telling him to finalise a fight with Povetkin within 24 hours, and they had the Russians hanging around waiting for over a month too.

Hearn couldn't then just put whatever date he wanted on the contract after Wilder signed it. That would have been negotiating in bad faith and he could have been sued for it .. and the contract would have worthless anyway.

You believe that all along Hearn just wanted to launch DAZN in the US.... With a main event featuring no US fighters, hosted in a non US country? Instead of Joshua vs Wilder?

Is that what you're saying? Because that would be quite a ****** business strategy.
Very common sense explanation. In any event Dazn is not going to do well in the USA. In the USA it will have to be Showtime, HBO, etc. ppv which we are accustomed to.
