IBF strips Golovkin because he had to fight Devrechenko before Aug 3 after he Vanes and give up on a Canelo fight which is the biggest financial fight this year and would have been the IBF biggest sanctioning fee

the IBF decides to Extend the purse bid TIL July 10th , wouldn’t be suprised if the fight happens in Oct / Nov . A month or 2 after Canelo / ggg
And realistically 2-3 months before Gennady would fight again

So instead of being patient and waiting until after the Canelo rematch to enforce a Mando which they were cool with in May

With Degeale vacating They strip probably their longest reigning and one of their most popular champions and lose out on a sh.it load of $ and give the opportunity to 2 fighters who don’t deserve a strap

    Makes sense to me

Only in Boxing would this sh.it happen

This fight represents a huge risk with little reward for Jacobs. He's already in a prime position to face the winner or canelo-GGG, plus, This dude is not known to the public, so Jacob will be expected to win fashionably, but the truth is this is a 50/50 fight. It's a no-win situation for Jacobs; if he wins, he was supposed to win. If he loses, he lost to unknown dude with like 13 fights. If he does decide to take the fight, big respect to him.

g was told he had to fight Derevyanchenko by Aug. 3. G then decided to fight a retired guy from a lower division and to vacate his title. Once it became clear he really was vacating, the IBF announced who would be fighting for the vacant belt, and have given one extension, at the promoters behest.

g vacated to avoid a guy with 12 pro fights, with zero fights against top 30 opponents. Yes, g really did that. He was so terrified of this guy who has never fought anyone even halfway decent, that g gave up his belt to avoid him. To fight a retired guy from a lower division.

        g is officially a eunuch.

That's the "Mexican style" g has, vacating to fight a bum from a lower division, instead of keeping the belt by fighting a bum in the same division.
"GGG made the biggest present ppv instead of fighting a guy with 12 pro fights waah waah what a ducker."
As far as I can see, you are the one coming off as a eunuch
On another note, rooting for Jacobs. I think a rematch with Golovkin is due.

Yes, g didn't vacate to fight Canelo. He vacated to fight Vanes.

That is just a simple fact. g asked for an exemption to fight Vanes instead of his mandatory. G was told he could fight Vanes, but he had to fight Derevyanchenko by Aug. 3rd. g chose to vacate and fight Vanes. It has absolutely nothing to do with Canelo. He was ordered to fight Derevyanchenko, but g vacated.

Literally. g vacated to avoid a bum with 12 pro fights. This would be like Spence vacating instead of fighting Ocampo.

g and his lil butt-lickers are the only ones crying. I know it is so unfair to expect a champ to be fight a guy who had once thought about fighting a top 30 opponent. Yes, of course g did the right thing. He let two fighters that have testicles fight for the belt.

g has a resume full of Rubio, geale, Monroe, wade, Brook, and Tureano and to top it off, he vacates to avoid someone with a dozen pro fights. And is crying about it.

Sorry, if g vacated to fight Vanes instead of Sergei, I highly doubt he will fight the winner of Sergei's next fight.

To top it off, he is now part of two of the biggest ppv of current times. I'm sorry to tell you that fans don't have the same perspective as you and nor do the think Derevyan is a world beater.

Pretty sure you wouldn't pay for a Derevyan fight anyway so stop harping.

Anything to deflect from the fact that g literally vacated to avoid a bum prospect to fight Vanes.

Jacob's didn't "whoop" g, but he very easily could have gotten the decision. Which is probably why, he gets to fight for the IBF title now, because he scared g. g saw he had to depend on a controversial decision to beat Jacobs, so he simply vacated to avoid Sergie. But he fought Vanes! What a warrior!

At least Duran said no mas in the ring, and not beforehand and certainly not to some bum without a top 30 opponent on his resume. That is the g style of Mexican fighting! It combines the boxing of past Mexican greats along with the competition Mexican children have against piñatas.

He literally vacated to avoid a bum to face an even worse bum. Also, Vanes wasn't a ppv. Sorry, but that would be like charging to watch kids battle a piñata.

He vacated to avoid a bum. It has nothing to do with Canelo. You just keep bringing Canelo up to deflect from the fact that g vacated to fight Vanes. Who,, I'm pretty sure no one would pay to see.

Just suck it up and admit g vacated a bum to fight an even worse bum from a lower division. It is alright, everyone else has already known this.

Really, how many fans paid to watch the ppv against Vanes? That is who g vacated to fight. That is like saying Quillin vacated to fight Jacobs. It doesn't matter who g fights now, he has already vacated so he could fight Vanes.

He could fight Floyd Mayweather next, it still wouldn't change the fact that he vacated to fight Vanes.

Like I said the show and flash of pro boxing with all the suspense of a child with a bat against a piñata.
