Nothing in the contract guaranteed the fight would be next. So AJ would still fight Povetkin and then have Wilder locked in at the low ball flat fee to fight him next year. A low ball flat fee Wilder only accepted to call Hearn's bluff on doing the fight this year.

Other than the **** that came out your mouth (not really, because it’s keyboard skills) I think you will find he confirmed with finkel it would be next hence the whole conversation about it in the media! #thewinkelhasbeensatisified

But you're assuming Hearn tells the truth in the media, which he doesn't.

He never was actually willing to put in a contract that the fight would be next.

Finkel confirmed he said the fight was next too, he was complaining it took him 4 days to tell him. So they are both lying now?

According to Hearn, Shelly asked if they were next. He was guaranteed that they would be AJ next fight, that was from the revised draft. Once they heard that they were next Shelly said they would get back to Eddie on Friday. If that wasn’t the case then am sure Shelly would have said so in the media (That Eddie didn’t guarantee that they were next).

That’s what I got too. Shelly didn’t mention having a problem with that. It seems people want us to call Hearn a liar (Which he can be), but they are not willing to call Shelly out. Some one to put this on Hearn 100 percent. I think everyone played their respective part in this fight not happening.

if wilder signed a contract and hearn said sorry mr wilder u have to wait ur turn now its pov next, there would be outrage across the board i would have thought, surely daddy hearn would not advise something this underhand, its borderline criminal. Im not a contracts expert but maybe wilder could have got that contract thrown out and then he would be in a much stronger position for the next one!!!!! Missed opportunity maybe on wilders part here?
