Eddie came on the scend making noise and Warren paid it no mind because his dad was never real competition for him.

But then Eddie managed to get exclusivity at Sky Sports and fighters flocked to him and be became #1 in the UK but some margin. Frank not only hated that fact but Hearn rubbed it in his face by taking shots at him.

It's been a pissing match ever since.

You don’t look at numbers because you can’t even count

Warren was pretty much the biggest promoter in the UK for 20 years or so until Eddie revived Matchroom and got an exclusive Sky contract. Sky are the biggest backers of boxing in the UK and they cut ties with Warren and a host of other old school promoters, giving Eddie a free reign and budget to take over boxing in the UK.

Frank had to resort to starting up a niche boxing channel to put on his own shows. This had considerable expense and made it difficult for him to compete with Hearn and Sky, but tbf to Warren, he’s stuck at it and now he’s landed a big deal with BT.

Frank sees Eddie as the young up start, who’s knocked him off his perch. As well as that Eddie signed a lot of Frank’s fighters from him early on (Brook, Bellew, Burns, as well as others).

Add to that years of them slagging each other off on IFLTV and yeah.

It’s remarkable that they’ve never even met.
