isn't bellew the same guy that hugged wilder and then realized hed be nuts to ever want to step in the ring with him?
isn't bellew the same guy that gets money through hearn?
Tony Bellew is the guy that earned over $3m for the first fight with Haye, and over $3m again for the second fight with Haye.
Thanks to the opportunities that Hearn was able to secure for him, he earns more per fight reportedly, than WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder who only earned $2.1m vs Ortiz.

That's who Tony Bellew is.
Who cares? Does counting other men's pockets help you somehow in life?

What does the first point matter? I think a lot of us would do the same thing, doesn't make our opinion any less valuable.
Your second point may be fair BUT Hearn has said Wilder didn't sign the contract. If that is correct, what else needs to be said?
I think the fight will be bigger next summer anyway. More money to be made for both. AJ has to beat a SOLID fighter in Povetkin and Wilder has Breazeale who is decent and can make you look bad for a little while at least.

No.
But it tells you in this case who is well placed to talk about taking a risk vs reward fight and not doing every trick in the book to play games at PR.
The fight is the fight, the reward is the reward. Wilder ****ed about with PR too much trying to get leverage instead of just signing to fight.

right...so naturally hes going to side with hearn right? even though everyone else knows its AJ obviously the guy has hearn helping line his pockets will side with hearn
cong**** on bellews money? will he use any of it to get you to shine his loafers for him? lol..u aint seeing a dime of it you grub
you act as if these UK guys are some "out of the mold" superstars...if you literally reversed where AJ and wilder were from it would be wilder making 20 mil a fight and AJ making 2 a fight.....cong**** on your countrymen being boxing fans that will pay for anything
over here in America we had a featherfisted welterweight that broke ppv and money records...lol

It's not even about the money. The money only serves to illustrate who does business better.
Wilder took 2.5 months to negotiate from 12.5m to 15.5m flat fees and still didn't sign and as a result lost the date, venue and the fight.
Now he risks AJ getting beat by somebody else, or AJ increasing his bargaining power even more for a fight later on.
Wilder now needs to fight Whyte, Miller, Parker or Fury to keep himself relevant and in the running for the big bucks against AJ because his money ain't gonna go up fighting Brezeale, Kownacki or fat Ortiz again.
Bellew is just another Hearn stooge, anything any matchroom affiliated individual says might as well have just come from Hearn's mouth
But being serious, (and I will not swear, insult or otherwise drag this discussion down), how do Wilder supporters explain:
1. Why didn't he sign?
2. Related to 1 above, he didn't even communicate. That is to say, if he wanted clarification on venue and date, why didn't they respond QUICKLY and get it cleared up?
3. Why did they wait weeks and weeks before responding? They KNEW time was running out or AJ would get stripped, explain this lack of effort and communication?
4. Why did he not go to UK for AJ Parker
5. Why did they refuse to meet in New York when Hearn flew over and gave them a head's up that they should take the opportunity to sit down and talk?
Honestly gents, Hearn is an absolute pro, and will make big money off this fight. Take away all Wilder's posturing on social media and what you are left with, actual facts, are that he and his team simply did not put any effort into making this come together.
I simply don't understand the balance of the arguments here. Wilder screaming stuff over social media, the other side showing an actual desire, including sending documents, terms and conditions etc. How can anyone not see this?
