Because it doesn't make sense. Sanctioning bodies have usually ALWAYS granted deference when negotiating Unification bouts. That's something they have agreed upon. And this bout is very deep in negotiation. To issue a proclamation like that right now is asinine.

i think if i was joshua id go with having the wilder fight next summer at wembley, joshua hometown, the russian next, maybe another fight and then wilder, probably makes more sense at this stage plus another big payday for joshua and co with the russian being a big name and all that, even tho he is a drug cheat, but what russian isnt
