Would it have been better for floyd to have gone out on his shield

Because the fact he didn't makes people think that is how he has conducted his whole career. Basically cherry picking to the end.
Look at David haye last fight. That's how it should be. Floyd went out on his terms? But that's his problem everything he did in his career was under his terms.

well it's not like he's still hanging around calling himself tbe but not fighting the best opposition. he's a guy who always took calculated risks...why would anyone expect him to be different at the end of his career. he knew he was slipping in his last couple fights, which is why he chose to fight andre berto and call it a day. can't be on top forever.

Better for the fans & even haters? Yes. Better for him? umm...no.

I'm far from a fan of his but that doesn't mean I don't respect him or his approach to the sport. Sure, I'd have loved to see him tested more but who am I to criticize the way that he managed his career & all the money he made doing things his way. He obviously is having the last laugh, haters & fans be damned alike.

No. I think he should have fought the best, win then retired. Or fight the best, lose the n retire.
Needed a young lion to show you no longer got it and no longer the best. Passing of shield.

David Haye vs Bellew is how a fighter should go out? Did you pick Bellew to beat Haye in he first fight? Even with an injured leg and flush punches landing on Haye, Bellew had a hard time KO'in him.

Haye going out on his shield would have been Wilder or Joshua.

I'm not getting you or do you mean he should have simply lost? Cuz he just fought the best which was Pacquaio.
