But yea I think the hard part isn't logically dealing with the rankings & belts, but the fact that you can't get rid of all these rankings & belts around today that would allow you to rise up a superior rankings & belt is the bigger problem here than doing common sense sh^t with the group running this sh^t.
The system doesn't work when certain promoters find it inconvenient to play by the rules.

Maybe those situations overlapped here. I don't know. It would be nice if the boxing media did their job and asked the IBF those kinds of questions.
While they're at it they could also have asked Top Rank for an answer about why Ponomarev pulled out of the fight since he wasn't injured.
