IBF like to give young fighters a chance AJ and Spence should know about that..

Only real fighters are ready to defend that IBF strap, that's why. Takes a real fighter to face his obligations no matter what.

I can't say the same for the ways of the WBC, WBA, and WBO.
It wasn't that long ago when FBI raided their office and IBF suits were charged with taking bribes

But yea I think the hard part isn't logically dealing with the rankings & belts, but the fact that you can't get rid of all these rankings & belts around today that would allow you to rise up a superior rankings & belt is the bigger problem here than doing common sense sh^t with the group running this sh^t.
The IBF scheduled an eliminator for Ocampo but Ponomarev (a Top Rank fighter) pulled out.

The system doesn't work when certain promoters find it inconvenient to play by the rules.

Yeah. They seem to have cleaned up their act since then, though.

They are easily the alphabet group with the most transparency at the moment. Boxers know exactly where they stand with them.

Then shouldn't he have fought someone else to "earn" his shot? I say yea. Usually they play musical rankings find guys to fight for those open 1 & 2 spots. Idk why they wouldn't for something as important as a mando.

That's in their rules already. But they also have a rule where if a mandatory defense becomes due the champion is free to negotiate with the highest ranked contender.

Maybe those situations overlapped here. I don't know. It would be nice if the boxing media did their job and asked the IBF those kinds of questions.

While they're at it they could also have asked Top Rank for an answer about why Ponomarev pulled out of the fight since he wasn't injured.

Hilariously Ponomarev is STILL f#cking ranked. People keep telling me the IBF rankings suck cuz the top guys don't want the IBF title so the IBF doesn't rank them. This cake boy has turned down TWO mando title shot situations now and is still ranked. Why is he still ranked if he doesn't want the IBF belt?!?!?!

Ponomarev is no longer in the IBF rankings.
