Things seem to be shifting in the other direction recently. Since getting the ESPN deal we've seen TR fighters against Golden Boy, Matchroom, Teiken and other promoters' fighters. Meanwhile PBC fightes only fight other PBC fighters unless it's a mandatory or a superfight.

Crawford seems to be a chill enough guy, but it is what it is. He signed with Top Rank, he's been guided down the WBO path to the 135, 140, and 147 titles, and he's publicly happy letting Bob Arum call the shot while he's now on his alleged $3m guarantee. No different than Tim Bradley.

I don't think Keith Thurman wants anything to do with Errol Spence Jr either, but he's not a punk and pride has a way of dictating things. Keith Thurman will get his return fight (Josesito Lopez is basically the kind of solid, rugged guy for that matchup) and then the public will get on his neck.

He might get one more fight after that, but then the business will compell the fight, he and Spence will split a likely guaranteed $6m+, and he'll get over any unease.

If Bob Arum can dictate the event, he'll make any fight that he thinks his guy can win. If Bob Arum can't dictate the event, he'll grumble every step of the way.

There's a reason why Zurdo Ramirez, Jose Ramirez, Oscar Valdez and others are stuck can crushing and ducking fights. There's a reason why Mikey Garcia is being ignored. There's a reason why Terence Crawford is publicly thumping his chest about ESPN+, without mentioning for a moment the reach of the channel.

PBC fighters go wherever the best deal can be made; Gassiev jumped into the WBSS without waver, and Prograis is happily jumping in to the next one. Frampton, Selby, and Degale took fights with Frank Warren, Amir Khan signed a deal with Eddie Hearn, and even Glowacki ended up going home to fight without issue in Poland and Kameda in Japan.

Showtime is a major buyer, and FOX/FS1/BounceTV cover things for PBC for now, but don't forget that Daniel Jacobs took the money on HBO.

When was the last time that Bob Arum had a fighter on someone else's show?

John Molina Jr. and Felix Diaz both fought Terence Crawford on HBO, and they are both PBC fighters! Now when is the last time you saw a Top Rank fighter fighting a PBC fighter on Showtime?

He better be fighting Thurman or Garcia otherwise I could care less about the fight.

They were opponents and not priority clients of Haymon.

Lomachenko did fight Russell on Showtime.

Even jeff Horn was in his last top rank option and isntnwoth them anymore. The only real in house fights they did for Crawford was Postol and Beltran.
                Good point...

Jacobs was a priority client, and he went to HBO for GGG! Lomachenko went to Showtime because Top Rank lost a purse bid!

see this is all wrong. U forget to mention Gassiev Khan Jacobs are no longer affiliated or signed with gaymon and haven’t been for a while.

exactly. Haymon wants no parts of TR fighters on Showtime while TR opens there doors to all promoters.

With a purse bid looming Haymon May be forced to allow Gvozdyk on showtime though
