Hearn was using Wilder to keep this fight out of Russia. If Hearn had turned down Wilder weeks ago Rybainski would've taken it to purse bid to host it in Russia. He wouldn't even let Whyte fight in Bulgaria. You think he letting AJ go to Russia?

Remember the difference in mandated purse splits between those 2 fights if they go to bids and the difference in what Hearn would make from them in the UK.

Pulev was entitled to 75% against Whyte. AJ would be entitled to 70% against Povetkin and it makes a lot more money for Hearn in the UK than for Ryabinski in Russia.

It would take a huge bid from Ryabinski to beat Hearn in those circumstances, more than he could recoup from the fight.

Wilder's manager Finkel actually referred to Wilder as a baby heavyweight that needed protection in the press as reported on this website.

People crying about the fight not happening is a direct result of non compliance of Finkel stalling negotiations by cancelling them , then refusing details after that .


Wilder himself could have just agreed to Hearns first offer a month or so ago instead of bickering to try and finagle more money he doesn't generate in the first place and the fight would have already been agreed upon and scheduled .
