Not likely, tbh. Jacobs is apparently already at deal points for the Alvarez fight in September, and I doubt that either guy chooses to split the camp over a vacant belt [unification is a different conversation].

not a bad move, dont wanna see Golovkin vs Derevyanchenko - the two best middleweights fighting each other right now, let Serhiy clean out the division a little against Andrades, Charlos, Jacobs etc and GGG fighting Saunders and Canelo, then they will make a great Golovkin-Derevyanchenko unification fight!

          Yeah, that's right.

GGG vs Vanes is the second best rating of the year.

They weren't solding out the arena and doing those numbers fighting friday nights Derev.

I guess they cashing out wich is understandable for a 36 years old fighter.

He coulda shoulda fought better oppo, but it's kinda too late.

          Dude has 3 fights left.
They don't sound like they know what they are doing by trying to cash out vs Canelo at 50/50 if you ask me.

And idk that you are cashing out vs anyone else around 160 like you'd do vs Canelo. 1 Canelo fight is like 3 non-Canelo fights probably. Or some sorta conversion rate like that.

I mean, that's all business, don't act like they are afraid of BJS.
Did I say afraid? You lied and said the BJS fight was hard to make. I corrected your lie

If Golovkin couldn't offer a reasonable amount to Derevy than why bother, so you can save face and said you offered. That's just BS for the dummies. Loeffler said Derevy would need more, they paid crap to Vanes.

Given it was less than a month to make the fight, no it was not a duck. Now, let's say Golovkin refused to fight Derevy next and then goes and fights a Vanes like guy. Yeah I'll call that a duck. If he goes out an fights one of the other top guys who brings in a lot more, no I'm no calling that a duck.
So when other fighters didn't fight GGG because it was high risk and not enough money it was called a duck. Right? But when GGG doen't fight Sergiy because it's high risk and there wasn't enough money in the fight for him what is that called?

GGG's team is really full of clowns. They had until August 30th to fight him. They could have easily fit him in there since the Canelo fight is canceled. Really he should have fought him on May 5th. He had a full month to prepare for him. Derevyanchenko is good, but stylistically he's not going to actually beat GGG and he has very little pro experience. There's no reason to push back that mandatory and cherry pick an inactive light middleweight instead.

With that HBO budget and GGG not being a formidable PPV attraction that's like 15 non-Canelo fights on HBO
