I agree with your assessment, but when you consider that Canelo tested dirty and ruined the May Date and lost GGG $20M already and now GGG is most likely going to lose the IBF Belt if he faces Canelo in September then that 40-60 should be moved closer to 50-50.

I could see how the IBF belt factors in, but that's a decision that Alvarez is not obligated to assist with. Particularly since he can't win the belt if GGG gets stripped. Plus you gotta blame GGG and K2 a little because they could have fought Dervy in May but chose not to.

As for the lost purse from the 2nd fight, well it would be recouped in Sept. Can't arbitrarily treat Sept like it's a third fight and GGG missed out on the purse from the 2nd. This wasn't some 1 year three fight deal that Alvarez messed up and now there will only be 2 fights in the 1 year.
