Explain how Mayweather is not dodging, please.

He had no problems taking on Bruseles, Gatti, and Mitchell, for a lot less money. What is wrong with taking on the most dangerous challenger in the division for eight million? Oh yeah, he is the most dangerous, thats why. This is the fight that will most greatly enhance his legacy, and will make him the most money. Fear of losing is the only possible reason why he wouldn't take this fight.

Also, even though Margarito is not a household name, word would quickly get around that he is Floyd's toughest challenger in a while, and boxing insiders still have influence on the mainstream media. If they are offering that type of money for the purses, they are obviously going to promote the hell out of the fight, get the word around to the public about Margarito, and make it a big fight.

I think that right now Margartio needs to get really really loud about Floyd ducking him, and they could use that to promote the fight. You have the clean looking "pretty boy" with the gold chains and the undefeated record, being taunted by this rugged Mexican warrior who has been fighting pro since age 16 and wants whats coming to him. That would sell.

Mayweather might be fighting Margarito next for all we know. As some people have already pointed out, give him some time. Just today De La Hoya announced that he wouldn't be fighting Floyd. Contracts don't get worked out and signed in a matter of hours.
