Explain how Mayweather is not dodging, please.

...I know there's a small group of insanely loyal PBF lovers on this board. So I'd love to hear from them on the subject of Floyd refusing to fight Margarito for guaranteed $8mill with upside.

There is no excuse I can think of for Floyd not fighting him.

    Here are the facts...

    1) Floyd can make more guaranteed money fighting Maragarito than anyone else right now.

    2) Floyd does not have a title to fight mandatories for.

    3) DLH is not fighting Floyd this year.

    4) Hatton is not fighting Floyd this year.

    5) Floyd calls himself the best, says he's ready to fight anybody.

    6) All boxing fans, media, and insiders want to see this fight happen and Margarito is regarded as his toughest challenge outside of Hatton and DLH.

Soooo....I'm just wondering what kind of spin the PBF crew has for this, if you're saying it's not a pure dodge. Because I'm beginning to get curious visions of Bowe putting a belt in the garbage, myself.

The biggest thing is that this guy is not a household name, has almost no real notable wins on his resume that anyone would reckonize, and at this stage in his career, mayweather probably feels he deserves better than this guy. Thats why.

He deserves better? OK, name someone better, who is a household name, who Floyd can make more money fighting then, please.

If you could just go ahead and do that, then that would be greeeeeattt. Thanks!

what he wants is more recognition

i agree that margarito is good and strong and all that nonsense but if he has no name and floyd loses to him who the **** is floyd.
he has to wait for tony to build popularity and then if floyd beats him it will mean more or if floyd loses to him then he wont look like a total bum.

tony needs to stop acting like a ***** and fight someone else and stop sittin on his hands complaining that floyd wont fight him.

        theres your spin

This is what I don't get about Floyd, well, TWO things:

              1. He talks about people like Cotto and so on not being in his league and worthy for him to fight.... yet then he goes and tackles people like Sharmba Mitchell??? Don't tell me it was a warm-up at 140, cos Floyd hasn't fought a competitive bout for nearly four years now.

              2. Floyd's an A+ fighter, he'd easily beat so-and-so. Hatton's probably a C- to B+ kind of fighter. So by that logic, if Floyd IS A+, he'll win. But how can anyone say Floyd is A+ (or P4P No.1) if he's not fighting anyone to prove that position? Yeah, he looks like a boxing genius against Gatti... but I look like Muhammad Ali when I'm shadow boxing in the shower.

The whole DLH thing is still kinda in the air and also new... Give it some time before starting "omg Floyd is ducking Marg because DLH rejected him yesterday" threads.
