Joshua and Wilder are both having to take a heavy paycut because Femi wants this fight in the Uk
Maybe there is something you don't understand when you present boxing to be a nicely tucked niche sport only the true aficionados of boxing know of. It is laughable. And even if we imagine that it is like that today in the HW division, that is not because this is a typical boxing culture in the US like you are trying to insinuate, but because Wilder is just unknown.

I bet that GGG is more known to an average Joe from the street than Wilder. Conduct the poll and put your "niche" ideas to the test.

I'd be interested in seeing you explain exactly how Wilder, who made approx $2m in his last fight is taking a pay cut to fight Anthony Joshua? Being that he's already turned down a guaranteed $12.5m and is currently sitting on a better offer?

You may argue that Wilder would make more if the fight was in the US, but the possibility of earning more is not the same as being asked to take a pay cut? The reality is that this fight will make Wilder many, many times more than he's ever seen before. That's primarily because of the profile of his opponent and the multiple belts he brings to the table.

If AJ gives him a fight Wilder gets a massive, massive, pay rise. Fact.

          • Genuine question, has anyone been to Wembley or the Principality stadium in December / Feb? I know both stadiums have roofs, but is it not freezing? Especially for a main event that'll kick off at 10 or 11pm.

For a big stadium fight in the UK, summer would seem make a lot more sense, so September or bust? Fingers crossed it's next up.

They've had this deal long enough now that you can be damn sure we'd have heard about it if it was a lowball offer - so surely it's safe to assume that it's not a particularly bad deal.

If Wilder accepts the deal AJ is contractually obliged to fight.

Once again, people seem to be way more excited by the prospect of one fighter ducking the other than they actually are in seeing the two in the ring.

People need to chill the **** out, seriously.
The fact that Wilder's team hasn't said anything about the latest offer indicates they are taking a Long Hard look at it. This suggests that the money is probably too much to walk away from. IMO they will accept and all this crazy talk about who fears who can stop.

AJ was the champion versus WK, so he rightfully opted to fight in London. Also, Klitschko is not a whiny ***** like Wilder, and was very happy to fight in front of 90,000 fans and put on a great event and fight.

Honestly, answer this: Is AJ the A side or not?
The most important piece of information you failed to present was what was Klitchko paid? I bet it wasn't $12.5 million or a 65/35 split. C'mon now, Wilder is much more dangerous than Klitchko was.

AJ won't lose any sleep if he never steps in your ****ty Donald Trump backward redneck riddled embarrassment of a place, ever.

UK is where it's at, and Wilder can come get sparked or duck, but the ball is in his court.
Last time someone spoke like that to Americans they got their Red Coat butts kicked back to England.
