I don't know if Povetkin would want the WBC belt by than as he was caught multiple times by them. Maybe he holds some grudgelike Canelo. If not, than it would be better for Wilder and boxing in general

If the fight happens and I doubt it will, I’ll have money on Povetkin. It’s going to go off with Joshua a big favorite but Povetkin has more than enough power to wreck Joshua and he has a big advantage in stamina.

Then we get the Wilder/povetkin fight we shouldve gotten a year ago. With more testing

Povetkin has been garbage since getting caught cheating twice I don't think stopping Price is that impressive

Then AJ loses and Povetkin will have options. AJ rematch, Fury or Wilder. That is the reality of things. I doubt Wilder will go after AJ instead of Povetkin which he was scheduled to face before

It's a serious food for thought..

the guy is visibly slower and not to mention probably forced to be off the melodonium
If the fight is staged in Russia the I expect Povetkin will be back on his power pellets...

Certainly he's been less impressive but if he get's inside Joshua will have trouble. Joshua for all his talent does not have Wach's chin.

Povetkin deserves to be an underdog but not by a lot.

I would not be surprised one bit, if he beats him not sure if he takes all the three belts or just one belt. He is a mandatory so I doubt AJ would have an obligated rematch. I actually think they would have two fights if the first one is close. Which would push the Wilder fight back even further. And by that time another mandatory defence would come up for either Wilder or AJ, I think it works out better for AJ if Wilder doesn’t answer back to the “Fights in the U.K.” thing. The long the fight takes to happen the better for him, GGG would have beaten Canelo easier if that fight had happened earlier. By the time it hapoened GGG was already older and Canelo had close the gap.

It's an extremely dangerous fight for AJ. Wlad, but the time he fought Joshua, was very slow. Povetkin has extremely fast hands and AJ isn't hard to hit. Povetkin also has a hell of a chin.

Personally I think Hearn would be crazy to make this fight.... I've been wondering if the negotiation is all leverage to get Wilder to come to the UK. If not, Hearn is drunk with power.
