    What if Povetkin beats Joshua?

The only one and big fight for Diva Wilder will all end up in smoke.
Hearn will most likely pursue a rematch with Povetkin.
DW would look like a clown if he still want AJ, who got beat.
And do you think Povetkin would take the B side position in a Wilder fight?

I highly doubt Povetkin beats AJ...

I don’t view this as a very competitive fight.

As for AJ-Wilder that ain’t happening anytime soon. And it’s not because of the fighters...
The people behind AJ clearly don’t want to risk their cash cow yet.

Joshua big favourite but wouldn’t be the biggest upset of all time.

Povetkin is one of th top fighters of the previous generation, Joshua is still developing. He poses some similar problems to Takam in that he is short and stocky and forces Joshua to punch down. He’s good at rolling and slipping under punches and throws good tight combinations. He’s dangerous even if he does seem to have lost that killer edge he had as PEDvetkin

Tbh I see Povetkin as being around the same level as Ortiz when he fought Wilder. Well schooled, good technique, experienced, had some excellent wins in the past, looked a bit lacklustre since getting popped for peds. Old but still a problem for a fighter who is inexperienced at the top level.

It’s not the Wilder fight so naturally everyone will hate on this, and I would be disappointed as well, but to me it is a legit opponent and would be a good win on Joshua’s resume if he gets the W

          He definitely could beat AJ.

Extremely dangerous whilst he's in there. I'll stick a tenner on Augustus Gloop for sure.

I still think Povetkin poses a decent enough threat against AJ

Then povetkin fights wilder. It's the way boxings always worked. Any HW can be stopped and the winner moves on. It won't happen though because AJ is better in every way and povetkin only has a very slight punchers chance.

It's a legit fight that could derail the AJ-Wilder negotiations possibly for good. I'd stop this fight from happening if I were Wilder. Fight and beat Joshua, so he could take the A side and dictate the terms in the rematch.

Wilder v Povetkin would be the biggest fight in boxing USA media will build up as some cold war Ivan Drago who Wilder must destroy

Trump will come out and throw his support behind Povetkin and the fight easily sells over 2M PPVs
