Povetkin would probably KO him that’s why wilder needs to do it first.

If povetkin did bear Joshua I think it would be great for boxing if I’m honest. Everyone would be then wanting Joshua rematch, wilder vs Joshua and Joshua vs povetkin. Would add an extra name into the mix and would probably help keep Heavyweights and therefore boxing as a whole in the limelight.

I think Povetkin is not at his best. He's very static and we saw how David Price hurt him badly.

Joshua could smash him or box him and win relatively easily. Povetkin is too small, but he's a good fighter and can punch a little bit.

I think he'd be a sitting duck for AJ.

People think povetkin is some great fighter because wilder ducked him

Joshua will show why he is this generations greatest

its an absolute disaster for wilder if that happens, no payday and he wont be getting any sort of payday against anyone else. he'd have to wait for fury to get back in the mix which could be a while and i wouldnt be shocked if one of these b level fighters cracked wilder on his big ****** chin at some point before that happened. hes been wobbled plenty of times

I don’t view this as a very competitive fight.

As for AJ-Wilder that ain’t happening anytime soon. And it’s not because of the fighters...
The people behind AJ clearly don’t want to risk their cash cow yet.
See above for my opinion also

have you seen povetkins last 2 fights?

he was seconds away from being koed by david price in his last fight

the guy is visibly slower and not to mention probably forced to be off the melodonium

Looking for fights palatable to fans is probably what drives their handlers crazy the most. Who is he going to fight after dismantling Breazeale? A Joshua vs Povetkin rematch is more likely if AJ loses. Who is Wilder going to fight then?

It would be a major hit to Joshua .

When Klitchko was Knocked out by Sanders it was a huge shock bc he was going to fight Lewis but not even Klitchko had Joshuas status at that time .

He will have to rebuild but not much , loses happen and MANY guys have got knocked by fight 25 including Louis , Klitchko and Lewis !

Now if Wilder loses to Breazeale ???????
