You know what’s funny? Other than a couple of his fighters, I could give a rat’s ass about Hearn’s stable. And I think that applies for many Americans.
But Eddie Hearn does a really good job of...promoting himself.

Clearly, a lot of fighters don’t agree. Maybe they have a low IQ, as you say. Maybe you or me has a low IQ. What we do know is that, they are way more informed to make that decision than we are.

These guys have no skin in the game & they have no desire to keep guys active, their names in their mouth or even got much invested in a guy becoming bigger or smaller or staying the same as they currently are.

Hearn doesn't make money if people love or hate him. He makes money if people love or hate his fighters. And he's making money & currently has a billion dollar deal that is the most talked about thing in boxing right now.

And I mention that cuz Hearn is great at this sh^t cuz he loves to talk. Clearly a lot of PBC fighters are getting nowhere in their career with PBC Promoters as well. I mean most guys are gonna fail. But some PBC guys should have risen more than they have. The only PBC standout that I really see has been Tank...and guess what he has a real promoter who's got him signed to a deal.
Your response was, and is, that they would speak on their behalf. In other words, a job that can be done by a publicist, social media manager, manager etc.
If there is anything else of significance, feel free to share.
It bears remembering that these fighters have almost all fought under a promoter before and know what it’s like.
These same fighters have also been free agents for years and yet we’ve seen more fighters cross over from having a promoter to not having one than vice versa. As Errol Spence said, “why would I sign with Oscar or Floyd when they both thought it best to do it without a promoter?”
Really, I don’t watch Lomachenko because I’m blown away by Bob Arum at a press conference. Canelo doesn’t interest me because Oscar’s soothing voice compels me to. You can argue that Hearn is a different beast but America is a different beast too. In fact, even before DAZN, he spent more time talking about other fighters than he did his own. I’m willing to give him more time with Jacobs and Miller but I don’t see anything special that he’s doing for them.
Finally, Tank is doing great. But not as good as Spence, Broner, Wilder, Thurman and Garcia, for instance. “Yeah, but those guys should be PPV stars!” — Sincerely, promoter who doesn’t have one PPV star in the US (ie Arum, Hearn and even Canelo was made a PPV star minus Oscar). The reality is...you don’t know how well these guys are doing. But as mentioned, nearly all of them have been under a promoter before, have listened to the new deals coming their way now, and will make an informed opinion. Perhaps what they do suggests more about what we don’t know than what we do.

And that’s exactly the idiocy that makes fighters go broke. Uneducated, and ignorant in relation to your own worth.
Broner is not worth 8million for 3 fights. The gas has left that balloon in 2013.
How the hell are you going to pay 8million for the Charlos (who I really like btw) when they can’t even headline their own shows?
Hearn knows the numbers. That’s what makes him a successful business man. He’s right now willing to pay them more than they’ll get anywhere else, but he’s not ****** enough to ‘bleed’ for these people.
So if he comes and offers a Charlo bro 500-750k a fight on a three fight deal with a possible upside, that’s a tremendous deal compares to what they get anywhere else. And therefore, they’re smart and there’s a real plan in place - which knowing Hearn I’m guessing there will be - they would be foolish not to take a good hard serious look at it.
Nationalistic bull crap and too high demands is exactly the thing that will keep them down, not bring them up.
No big name fighter actually needs Hearn because he is not bringing anything but upfront cash. If that's all he has, then they should get as much of it as possible.

Can you show me one fight where either guy's bout agreement is anywhere near 750k? I don't think so. Jermall made a career high 500k last time out as far as I know.
What the hell do you think prize fighters fight for dummy? THE PRIZE

The advantage to paying a promoter a flat fee and having your own shell company is that you access plenty of other revenue ******s aside from your purse. So that $200K purse maybe be $400 or more when it's said and done.
