How would Pac do against the champions Floyd beat for his titles?

Of course its overblown because thats what everyone saw. Everyone in NSB noted that the catchweight will be significant and every experts that saw Canelo in the weigh in saw the impact of the catchweight, Andre ward said that Canelo is so drained that he had to sit down immediately after the weigh in, every credible boxing site quoted Canelo that he has a hard time on making 152, and complained that Mayweather demanded the fight at 147 even. He's improved since for sure but a 152 Canelo is still a bad muvver****er and still beats Manny.
This whole 152 thing is massively overblown imo purely to discredit Floyd. Canelo was more than young enough to get away with it and I seen zero evidence he was drained. Wasn't Canelo making like 153 & ½ like a yr later?
Ward knows more about boxing than I'll ever know but at that time I believe Floyd upset Ward with some comments about Ward not being P4P if I remember correctly and there was a bit of discrediting going on.
It's just a coincidence right that after Canelo made 152 he never made 154 and goes right through 155 right?

It's just a coincidence right that Canelo Alvarez looked like a dried potato in the fight? lol.Last edited by Thraxox; 05-31-2018, 10:09 AM.Comment

I don't recall NSB saying anything of the sort in fact I recall many picking Canelo and the odds being the closest for a Floyd fight in years it wasn't until after Floyd put on a clinic people brought up the weight to discredit him.
Floyd did himself no favours with that one admittedly and while I've been fairly critical of Floyd in the past I don't personally see the weight as an issues. He didn't look drained to me and when you're younger you can get away with it, its as you get older mid-twenties you typically don't recover as well. Like someone said he made 153 just 5 months earlier just fine for Trout.Comment

Canelo has always fought at catchweights even vs Lopez even for Trout that was actually a ridiculous 153.5lb catchweight why would he demand catchweights under the limit if it was such an issue? Then come in actually almost ½ a lb under that.Comment

the same can be said about manny vs cotto. nobody gave manny a shot to beat cotto. but then after the fight, all the excuses comes running in. "cotto was drained", "cotto basically trained himself", etc. and by the way, it was only 1 lb difference when pac fought cotto at 145, where as in cotto's previous fight against clottey it was at 146, and cotto won that fight!I don't recall NSB saying anything of the sort in fact I recall many picking Canelo and the odds being the closest for a Floyd fight in years it wasn't until after Floyd put on a clinic people brought up the weight to discredit him.

Manny definitely has the good punching power. I wouldn't say that he's physically stronger, but he definitely has more punching power. They're different types of punches that I haven't felt from anybody else," said Mosley, who was dropped twice during one of his two losses to the late Vernon Forrest.
I've been knocked down by Vernon Forrest, so that was a strong knockout punch. But this second time, that couldn't compete with Manny Pacquiao," said Mosley.
I was pretty hurt. I was pretty stunned. It surprised me, because I didn't think that it was a big shot when he threw it. But Manny Pacquiao was very strong," said Mosley of Pacquiao's left hand that floored him. "That was a great shot, and I definitely felt it and went down. And sometimes, he was setting traps. Manny, like I said, his punching power is a little different. You never know what could happen."Comment
