Shoulder popping in/out is a very bad injury. If true, he's got torn ligaments and even bluechip orthopedic sports medicine surgeons will tell you that surgery to fix torn ligaments produces more pain more often than not than what you came in with. Pretty much a career ending injury.
Klimas is telling a fib here. If his shoulder came out of the socket, he would have taken a 10 count --- actually more like an 800 count while screaming bloody murder. Also, if his shoulder has a history of coming out of the socket, he would NEVER EVER EVER pull his arms out of the clinch like he did against Rigondeaux and other fighters. Out of socket will bring the biggest of men to their knee's.
For the labrum tear which is a SLAP tear, the surgeon will tell him 8 weeks recovery, but it's really 16 weeks to be pain free and safe. This is all very surgeon dependant and not all surgeons are cut from the same cloth.
SLAP tears are from overuse and by his work ethic, that's probably the case. I highly doubt his shoulder is coming out of the socket. I think people often identify with the words popping out of the socket as pop culture in cinema (Mel Gibson did it a ton in the Lethal Weapon series) has made its it very household.
Also, the headline says indefinitely and the body of text doen't say that at all. Y'all need to fix these dang headlines!Comment

He was out a year went to spar with Joesph Diaz with a year out it was an even fight and it dislocated. So he had to stop . He was only boxing 3.5 years compared to Joesph 7 and he was on his way of over taking him . He was boxing 8 months fought Joesph Diaz at Desert Show down fight could have gone either way but they gave it to Joesph . Than in 2009 just before the JO he fought Diaz again beats him for 2 3/4 rounds Diaz wins the last 30 seconds of the fight they gave to Diaz I just shook my head. Than 2009 he goes to win the JO Olympic Title . Than at the National Golden Gloves it dislocates in the finals. I can tell by the look of some trainers they were glad he wasn’t going to box anymore. You can see him on YouTube 2009 Jo Olympic Championships Hector Luna is his nameComment

Yes, I know at least two had it immediately operated on. One was a guy I worked with in a hospital, who has the best care possible, and was a rock climber. 5 years later, he still couldn't do what he once did. The other was an accountant who was out of the gym for 5 months or so after surgery, and never had full strength, even a year later. It wasn't even so much the strength as the flexibility. It's something that always concerned me because of how many people I've known who have been set back by shoulder injuries. It's made me very cautious.
I know fans want to think that things can be mended and 100% again but it's never 100%. A significant injury will always nag you and hold you back to an extent, which is really unfortunate as Loma is on a tear and in his prime. I think he's going to have a great career but I am bummed that he's going to now has gone through an injury in his prime that might hold him back from full potential.Comment

Linares made Loma's shoulder pop in & out of it's socket.
Light Weight Kingpin Mikey Garcia will make Loma's head pop in & out of his neck socket , till it flies clean off into the third row.

The labrum is not the issue if his shoulder pops in and out of socket....all he can do is stay in shape year round and hope for the best.Comment
