Many, many more parameters than just that.

but this is what it comes down to.

I understand GGG, but Canelo doesn't need him to be a PPV fighter.

I don't think a positive PED test means GGG should get 50% hen the numbers show he doesn't deserve it.

It sucks for GGG because he can't get anywhere near as much money with anyone else. I wished he would tell Canelo to f-ck off and make the cheater label stay and the questionable win stick for the rest of his career but that is cutting your nose off to spite your face.

What they've "made clear" and what is actually true are often two very different things. Only time will tell whether Canelo would budge at all to save the fight. Obviously 50/50 is ludicrous. That strong of a stance indicates to me that 60/40 is GGG's goal. Too soon to know if his tactics will work, but Team Canelo's tactics show that they are nervous, so I personally believe they would budge slightly to get the fight done.
Golovkin went ahead and fought Vanes Martirosyan, when he could've simply settled the mandatory then; Canelo's unlikely to pay for that, imo

50 50 is still too much.

60 - 40 or 55-45 at the most. canelo does bring more to the table, a lot more.

True, he does, but at the same time if I was Golovkin I would be pissed that the fight had to get rescheduled in the first place because my opponent had, "contaminated meat".

There's no reason for them to be asking for 35% of the fight, they should have demanded for 40-45% before. I think it's a good idea to start at 50%, because at the end of the day, most people who watched the fight thought Golovkin lost and it certainly helps your bargaining power.

Then again, I feel like this is all juicy drama they are pulling to marinate this fight. I always assumed NDA's are signed that boxers and promotion teams have to sign in regards to fight details, and so only certain tidbits can be discussed outside of the NDA's (I'm sure they recognize this before signing NDA's and detailing/outlining these "drama").

most writers thought golovkin won, or i should say, more writers thought golovkin won than alvarez. call it a plurality.

I think he deserves a better split than last time. If they fight, he's going to lose his IBF which wouldn't of been the case had Canelo not pissed dirty. I understand why he wants a bit of compensation.

I don't think he's quite entitled to 50/50, but I'd imagine that's a strong arm tactic to begin and that he's willing to come down.
