I know Canelo is more the PPV attraction but GGG does have the belts and he only got 30 % for the first fight and he got screwed on the rematch. 50/50 sounds fair especially since Cotto got paid more than GGG and the fight with GGG did more buyrates. With all the bs that has happened lately between these this would increase the buyrates and even at 50/50 Canelo will still get more than the first fight .

He didn't lose the big payday it was delayed to sept. He was allowed to go make another fight for may and wait till sept to get the same money on the table. Now if he prices himself out he will of cost himself that big payday. He can fight what's left of his career in 1/3 stubhub for small pay or collect the same career payday he agreed to months ago a deal his own promoter negotiated these last few weeks and thought was fair. It is GGG who turned down his own promoters deal and is now asking for much more money. So he cost himself that payday.

GGG, needs to move on as well... Fight your IBF mandatory. Then fight to become the undisputed MW champion. Then in 2019 Cinco de Mayo Canelo can get a shot for a 50/50 split. By then the PPV buys and demand would be even more. No sense on taking less. Canelo and GB are being unreasonable. GGG has 1-2 years left before real decline sets in...

50/50 split??? I get that GGG is pissed about the May 5th going down the toilet but he simply doesn't have the track record of pay per view sells to demand that type of number.

If GGG wants to get an eventual 50/50 split hold off fighting Canelo and whoever he decides to fight his next 2 fights they sell at least a combined 800K sold and he remains unbeaten.

GGG is in a stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. Reason being he wants and deserves more money but Canelo brings way more money to the table and if he decides to go a different direction he won't make but maybe a quarter of the amount of money he makes this fights plus his mandatory bouts are going to no pushovers either.

Either renegotiate a 60/40 split in favor of Canelo or team GGG move on and get those pay per view sells up and then attempt to get that rematch.

yet the GGG vs clenelo ppv by far outsold clenelo vs joto ppv. For all that history the fight couldnt even surpass 1 million buys. Golovkin did over million he should definitely get a better split. They won't fight jacobs too risky lol it will be spike.

If GBP chooses Saunders, Jacobs, or Charlo, it will equal or surpass Canelo vs. GGG! If they choose Spike, then it will be a PPV flop, but Canelo will still make a lot of money!
