Funny how everyone is hating on Canelo. First he wouldn’t fight GGG and then he did and everyone had an excuse. Now people who have no clue what Clen is, just run crap out their mouth. Took him two years to fight him? Canelo was basically the top jr middleweight in the sport the 3-4 years that proceeded the GGG fight. And he took on Lara, Trout, and Cotto. And even though was a welterweight, he beat Cotto, which made him a major player in the jr middleweight division. If you wanna knock Canelo for playing the Caneloweight thing fine. But he basically never fought as a true middleweight before fighting GGG. He never fought or beat any legit middleweights. So he was under no obligation to fight GGG. Canelo was about as obligated to move up fight GGG as Gennady was to move up and fight Ward.

Just checked, Canelo vs. Kirkland @ Tropicana Park had 31.5K, Canelo vs. Trout @ Alamodome had 39.2K! You win, San Antonio would be better! Still close enough for H-Town to be in the building!

This is a definition of a cluster f....

GGG demanded that Tom Loeffler ask for a bigger slice of the pie which according to team Golden Boy they had already agreed to the fight in September. Fast forward weeks later now team GGG wants renegotiate a contract that was already agreed to.

And now it looks like they completely over played their hand. The thing that hurts GGG is prior to Canelo none of his pay per view buys added a million sold then when he fights Vanes he gets a million base plus gate which I am assuming he walked away with may 1.5 to 2 million at best and the kid Ryan Garcia took some of his business the night before.

GGG would have made a guarantee of 20 million plus buys and other revenues now he more than likely fights Sergiy and makes no more than 5 million I am assuming.

GGG and Tom Loeffler need to reach out and fix this so there egos don't mess up there paychecks.

... I think that Canelo's ship has sailed for GGG... Loeffler should have sued ODLH when they failed to make the May 5 rematch... (it seems that people are just dum'...)

2 different situations, but both were ducks. The difference was Canelo was fighting in the mw division for yrs. He tried to play the weight game to avoid moving up completely but he only had 1 real fight at jmw in about 3 yrs. He was under no obligation to fight ggg but had no problem calling himself the wbc /lineal mw champion right? Then pouted when the wbc finally forced someone to fight ggg as the mandatory. A mandatory which he knew about since he signed to fight cotto because he was allowed to skip GGG's place in line for that shot. Funny how he had no problem fighting as a super mw vs Chavez all of a sudden after yrs of saying he wasn't ready for mw. Or how he had no problem allowing khan who was ko'd as a light weight and at 140 fight him for a mw championship . Stop defending hypocrisy.

Canelo has signed up for year-round VADA testing. So being a clean fighter is obviously not something that is a problem for him.

You guys keep bringing up PEDs over and over again but with that one move Canelo has taken this issue off the table for good going forward.
