He wasn't the man of the division at that point. That's clear as day.
And yet, the Joshua vs Klitschko fight put the HW division back on the map.

I disagree, the version of Ortiz that fought Wilder was much better than the version of Vlad that fought Joshua.

Even if that were true so what?

Still doesn't magically make Klitschko "the man" of the division when Joshua beat him.

He wasn't the man of the division. Fact.

It's not unreasonable to give Klitschko top ranking.
          This basically.

The man stuff is ridiculously overblown, not least by Fury and Warren seeking to leverage it into an AJ fight. Nonetheless, as much as fury returning will be entertaining fact is he accepted a 2 year ban for a failed PED test. That makes him highly suspect and if you remove him from the equation Wlad makes sense.

Except he's never held a belt, never fought a top ranked heavyweight and in his amateur days he wasn't even the best hw in his own country.

We can argue about it all day. It doesn't change a thing. Fact. Who cares at this point, aren't we looking ahead to Joshua vs Wilder?

This is true but I still think ortiz who faced wilder would of knocked out the wlad that faced AJ but all of that is irrelevant whereas the facts you've just coherently stated are FACTS. Ortiz best win is what kayode when on drugs or malik scott in a snoozefest.

Well yeah you're right it doesn't change the fact that Klitschko was not the man of the division when AJ beat him.
