Prograis made the right business decision.............

In the tournament you are guaranteed fights, making money along with winning a belt possible and lifting your profile. Being mandatory doesn't really matter anymore because you can be side stepped for at least a year or two depending if fighter tries to unify or not. Then he can come back to Ramirez to unify for more money. Mandatory sounds good in theory however when you're a serious threat you don't always get your shot in a timely fashion.

Why is Jose Ramirez not in the WBSS...if Josh Taylor joins in as well and Ramirez keeps on fighting no hopers then that would be awful

The Wolfman will reign supreme for years to come.

        Nobody wants it at 140.

Something is just odd about this entire situation. Did Dibella just hand over Prograis to Arum for some money?

Why was the purse bid cancelled? Arum and Dibella made some deal behind the scenes and Prograis was left in the dark LOL

            Something shady is going on.

For the same reason that Gilberto Ramirez didn't join the WBSS at 168 lbs.

Arum will never risk his guys against tough opponents that he doesn't have options on.

No one "ducked" Prograis...Regis and his people chose not to show for the purse bid and to enter the tournament instead...he would of had a fight with Ramirez before end of the year...he just had to allow 1 fight to build their fight up. Maybe Prograis doesn't realize the business of boxing that he has next to no fan base and TR needed to build the fight up to justify what both fighters will expect to get paid.

I don't think Prograis has the backing to go to purse bid. He's very good, but doesn't have fan base yet.

Prograis is very good, but has not fought a truly tough guy with real power, pressure, heart and can handle his power like Ramirez...Indongo was a gift never an actual top 10 fighter and had a 2 week camp

Prograis, Relikh, and Baranchyk are all good fighters! On the side note, I still want to see Broner vs. Figueroa Jr. @ 140! Omar, get it together son! Let's Go!
Ramirez won every 11 rounds against Iman who hits like a truck and Ramirez walked right through those punches like nothing, look at compubox. Ramirez pace, pressure and power breaks everyone down...ask Pacquioa what he thinks of Ramirez. Prograis best win is a way overrated Indongo with two week camp it was a gift. Prograis very good but Ramirez is a savage
