Prograis very good but Ramirez is a savage
Ramirez just swerved Prograis! He did NOT want that work! He's getting a new trainer because he knows his defense is weak! He will NOT walk through Prograis! Please believe me!

So then is he not confident? But actually being champion without having been well marketed does not mean bug pay days

Ramirez wants the fight he is not just satisfied being a world champ he wants to be the best. Both Ramirez and Prograis have smashed everyone they faced, Ramirez is a much stronger, tougher and skilled fighter then Prograis has ever faced...there's a reason guys like Bradly, Rios and Alvarado and another big time world champion fighter who inwont mention have all turned down fighting him!

Ramirez might be the best opponent Prograis has faced, but Prograis wanted that, Ramirez did NOT. Prograis entered in the WBSS with Relikh, and Baranchyk! I think both of them are just as good, if not better than Ramirez! That's what I call, "the best wanting to fight the best!"

How can you possible know what Ramirez wants? He said immediately that Prograis should be his next opponent! That Prograis has earned it! And when Prograis posted sully **** on social media Ramirez response was he will do his talking in the ring and wants Prograis.

Prograis did not go to purse bid...he didn't want to wait 1 fight to get his shot so fight could be built. And if you don't think Ramirez is elite you should ask the world champion sparring partners he's dropped or made quit.

Ask yourself why several multi time world champions approached have TURNED DOWN FIGHTING RAMIREZ

I know who did NOT turn down Ramirez! I know Prograis wanted to fight NOW, not after some stay bust fights in their home town! That's TR's idea, that's who is promoting these fights. I know Prograis entered the WBSS, but Ramirez didn't! Bob knew that Ramirez wasn't ready! Ramirez knew he wasn't ready! Maybe Robert Garcia can make him better?

The WBC said Ramirez had to fight Prograis next. I was rooting for Prograis but that is a fact. I doesn't matter what Arum or Ramirez wanted. Prograis turned it down.

                Don't make excuses for Prograis.

                  May 11, 2018:

DiBella and Prograis wanted the Ramirez fight next and could have pushed for a purse bid and forced Top Rank's hand. But Top Rank could also have delayed the bid long enough or delayed scheduling the bout to the point where Prograis would not be able to go into the tournament. In the end, they agreed it made the most business sense to find another plan.

"We know this fight can be built into something," DiBella said. "There's an interest in doing the fight right now and we had backing from Showtime (where Prograis has been fighting). We could have gone to purse bid, and the fight could have been delayed. Ramirez isn't going into the tournament, but Regis wants to be part of it, and he couldn't have both -- the fight right away and then the tournament. So with this scenario, Regis can go into the tournament. The tournament will be over in less than a year.

                  May 25, 2018:

Regis Prograis got the sense as soon as Bob Arum asked him to fight on Jose Ramirez’s undercard this summer that the Hall-of-Fame promoter had no intention of putting Prograis in the ring with the undefeated fighter his company developed into an attraction.

Ramirez had just beaten Amir Imam to win the WBC super lightweight title March 17 when Arum made that promotional pitch to Prograis at ringside in The Theater at Madison Square Garden. Prograis believes that 140-pound championship rightfully belongs to him and he had no interest in delaying the fight against the Ramirez-Imam winner he was promised when he agreed to fight for the WBC’s interim title eight days earlier.

The 29-year-old Prograis doesn’t think Ramirez is scared to fight him, just that Ramirez’s team doesn’t consider it a particularly good idea.

“I suspected he wasn’t gonna fight me anyway, just from the initial conversation I had with Bob Arum,” Prograis told BoxingScene.com. “As soon as he [beat Imam], he said, ‘I want you to fight on his undercard.’ Just from him saying that, I already knew it most likely wasn’t gonna happen. Now he’s gonna fight in his hometown and I’m gonna fight in my hometown, so I guess things worked out how they wanted it to work out.”

So basically Prograis turn down fighting Ramirez anytime soon. Prograis went for the money and one more fight is not going to make anyone ready, Prograis can't draw the numbers to justify the purse.

Prograis would have had a fight with Ramirez before end if the year, nothing to do with being ready. You don't know the situation and you sure as hell don't know Ramirez.

That's false. Arum admitted and is on record stating they didn't want the fight. Regis made the right move and everything a tournament that does a lot more for his career than a fight with Ramirez
