You need to do some more research! Go look up who cancelled the purse bid on the fight. Ramirez team wanted nothing to do with this fight. How is that hard to believe?

No one "ducked" Prograis...Regis and his people chose not to show for the purse bid and to enter the tournament instead...he would of had a fight with Ramirez before end of the year...he just had to allow 1 fight to build their fight up. Maybe Prograis doesn't realize the business of boxing that he has next to no fan base and TR needed to build the fight up to justify what both fighters will expect to get paid.

Remember the WBC and Top Rank are businesses they exist to make money...so they can agree to take an interm fight to build up the big fight...even Prograis team understands this that's why it was their decision to not wait one fight for Ramirez and go into tournament...it's a safer bet to make more money.

Remember Prograis who is very good has little fan base, Amir Imam fought on Ramirez undergrad when he was ranked #1 by WBC and then he got his title shot.

Having little fanbase shouldn't mean squat. If a guy has earned a mandatory position then he should get his title shot promptly.

Sure if he is willing to fight for peanuts...but they will not so they gave to build the fight to justify the purses....if you were Prograis would you fight for a title for 75k? He understands the business that's why he basically turned it down and went into tournament where he will make double

They need to get the WBO champion into the tournament and then it is **** whatever Arum is doing with the WBC belt. Josh Taylor is coming for that belt anyways so Jose will have to face a killer soon enough.
