I'm assuming Top Rank is going to claim Sampson breached in some way. Which he may have. Small time operation and Arum may be pouncing on a small oversight.
The most telling thing to me is that the WBC immediately ordered a mandatory defense against another Haymon fighter. Clearly Haymon is taking the defection seriously and wants to make sure that belt stays with PBC.Comment

Not fantasy at all. This has been common practice for decades, which is why sanctioning bodies have sued fighters for doing it because it reduces the fees sanctioning bodies can collect.
Very easy to work around this. AB Promotions is paid as a promoter or other shell companies are paid for other services and then Broner is paid a portion of that amount as his "purse." This goes on ALL THE TIME. Very common practice. Totally legal.Haymon is liable for NOT disclosing EVERY penny of his fighters otherwise its a felony and attempted money laundering .Comment
