It's getting too much and he'd be the first to say that. Just let his fights play out and enjoy him.

On the flip side he's already been written off and defined as garbage with a garbage career by some. It's far too soon for that either.

It's hard to find a middle ground and sensible views on basically any fighter these days. Let's just watch the fights and define them at the end. Not sure why it's always gotta be bring this guy up to make him look the greatest or to bring him down to make him look like a bum.

It's clear he's the best right now. Hence the obsession from both sides to talk about him all day every day.

What makes you think he's overrated?

I could make the same argument stating he's underrated. He just moved up in weight, and beat a champion in like his 12th fight.

THAT ALONE IS EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE. Who should be pfp over him?

Crawford faces **** comp, everyone knows it.

Exactly how I feel sir. Think you said all that needs to be said, linares is the first step in a huge journey but a fairly small step at that, be interesting to see how he’s viewed in his next 10 fights or so. If he ends up clearing up to 140 or 147(I think that’s wishful thinking at 147) this forum will explode, likewise if he gets knocked out his next fight

I just think him being mentioned in the same breath as Duran, PBF etc is way too far and early, Rigo and Linares are good wins but to say Crawfords resume is poor considering he’s unified a division already and held titles at lightweight but Lomas is great is unfair

not sure how you could "hype" what might be one of the GOATS, as every sensible unbiased fan knows is a fact
Your saying "might be" others are saying "he is". That's the difference. That's what people are objecting to including me. Might be and potentially aren't proven it's conjecture.

Loma to beat PBF is embarrassing, people say he’s done more in such a little amount of fights, but forget Lomachenko started in the pros in his prime and had nearly 400 amatuer fights under his belt, I mean PBF is easily the best 130/135 pounder to grace the ring, I’m interested to see how his career turns out once he fights naturally bigger men in Mikey who I feel is his toughest potential fight but I would expect Loma to beat Tank Davis Farely easy and also can’t see him moving up and facing the other P4P front runners like Crawford and Spence etc as they are way to big in my opinion. What do you guys think? Do you feels the P4P status and praise is warranted? And what weight do you feel he will clear out up to..
He almost lost to castillo so?

I don't think it is. He's on his way to all time greatness for sure.

But I think people mistake skill with flashiness. I think he and Mayweather are equally skilled, just in different departments. I think Loma's style is more crowd pleasing and Mayweather's style is more efficient. But the hype is totally warranted in my opinion.

The best issue is this need for people to compare fighters and rank them where nothing can be proved. That causes overrating and underrating. There's plenty of folks who shut down on Loma once they heard he's got some talent so people are like "IMPRESS ME NOW" but their mentality it to see weakness and how un-special they are so sometimes even just lie to themselves about what they are seeing to rebel against others.

It's part of what makes it more pleasant discussion when talking matches like Lara-Hurd, Estrada-Rungvisai, Usyk-Gassiev because these guys don't have fanatical fan bases or devoted haters. Rather the discussion will be genuine fans talking about what's in front of them with no historical conetations. That way you'll notice there's mature discussion and tactical insight and respect. Put a thread about anything involving the popular guys - Loma, GGG, Mayweather, Pacquaio, Joshua etc; and see how ****** it gets quick with 40% saying their guy walks on water 40% saying he's a bum and then 20% sound minded fight fans drowned out by the noise.

I always say just enjoy the fights. Don't watch mad and with an axe to grind. You'll miss quality action.
