Every "lineal" organization would make Joshua vs Wilder's winner their champ. TBRB. Cyber Zone, Ring, any of them. Regardless of the outcome of Tyson Fury's joke of a comeback fight.Comment

He didn't leave the division and will be back in Sept, fighting in that division. You lose your ranking when inactive for a year and he was only suspended for 6 months. And even then, as soon as he fights his next fight at MW, he's the lineal champ again, just as he left.Comment

The TBRB stripped him of the lineal title BEFORE the first Golovkin fight for this reason.
When Canelo announced his intention to return to the division and fight Golovkin, the TBRB put him back into their middleweight rankings. So the first Canelo vs GGG fight was for the lineal title, but it was vacant at the time and they were 1-2 in the rankings.
Since that point Canelo had an extremely controversial split draw which most felt he lost and then a PED suspension.
As I said before, his claim to the lineal title is just as fraudulent as Fury's or Jeff Horn's (not that I've seen Horn make the claim himself; just referring to the other topic on the board).Comment

Fury officially retired, going by your standards Lineal champion is still Lennox Lewis. He's 52 but he can always come back.Comment

Derevyanchenko does not deserve a World Title Shot against the Middleweight Number 1.
What exactly has he done to deserve a shot? F U C K ALL.
His last fight was against a Dashon Johnson, a guy with a 22-22-3 Record and his best Career win was against Tureano Johnson, who isn't even a Top 20 Middleweight.
Derevyanchenko needs to fight and beat a TOP 10 guy first like Jacobs, Charlo, BJS, Andrade and Murata and then he might deserve a Shot at GGG.
Until that happens...NO WAY!Comment

Comments Thread For: Golovkin-Derevyanchenko: IBF Ruling is Expected Soon
NEWARK, New Jersey Gennady Golovkin left a hearing that lasted more than 4 hours Tuesday still uncertain if he'll remain the IBF's middleweight champion. Daryl Peoples, president of the IBF, told BoxingScene.com that the IBF has 10 business days from Tuesday to rule whether it'll uphold its initial decision, which ordered Golovkin to make a mandatory defense against Sergiy Derevyanchenko next or give up his IBF title. Regardless, negotiations are ongoing for the Golovkin-Canelo Alvarez rematch to be rescheduled for September 15 in Las Vegas.
