I think Bob Arum will make the fight believe it or not. And normally I don't agree with Arum but he did make the Linares fight happen so I'll give him a shot at getting this fight done.

You support the crooked promoter which makes me wonder if you are a fake & work for them....Fighters deserve the Lions's Share period. The promoter is cashing in on this fighter, that fighter & the next fighter after him. The promoter will get paid without any risk to his life or his pockets.

Promoters usually lose a lot of money when building up fighters. They don't start cashing in on fighters until they're headlining on major cards. I'd be surprised if Top Rank broke even on their investment into Mikey Garcia.

Loma needs Mikey. Not the other way around. If Mikey beats Easter (I think he will) and schedules Tank instead of Loma, he can then go back to junior welter for Prograis et al and leave a confused Loma standing at the altar next to a sputtering and harrumphing BA who will have his thumb where the sun don't shine.

Linares isn't a big puncher so I think Arum and his matchmaker considered him a good risk to take.

Mikey is a very good puncher, especially at 135. Plus he is bigger and more experienced than Lomachenko.

I think Bob wants to stay well away from that fight.

It's pretty funny how every rails Bob when you got to understand, Mikey Garcia doesn't take 50/50 fights and he only fights people he's certain he can beat.


That being said, if he's not fighting lomachenko then he's not certain he can beat him. He moved up to 140 and cherry picked a big name and a paper champ. Cong****!

Then instead of choosing to stay at 140 he moved back down to 135 because the competition is easier. He's not a big puncher at 140 and he's no longer the bigger guy. Could you imagine what people would have said if Lomachenko moved back down to 130? He's ducking Mikey! He's scared! Blah blah blah.

The only think Mikey Garcia has on lomachenko is size. Get people try to use a triangle theory that since this fighter beat this guy, he automatically beats this guy. Ali, Frazier, foreman? This has never worked. I 100% believe Bob will try to make this happen because this is what Lomachenko wants. He wants to fight for legacy. Mikey? He will 100% price himself out if he can't get the fight on his terms. Kinda like someone else pointed out with AJ/Wilder.

All the insiders love Mickey but also admit that Mickey is in it for the money. He called out Spence and he may simply call out Loma for the same reason, relevance and marketing. We'll see, time will tell. Arum is quoted as saying bring me the offer, I'll look at it.

what's there to protect??? loma vs linares was just this past weekend and linares wasnt promoted by arum nor did linares received peanuts offer from arum. the only person that can keep this fight from happening is mikey!

Why would he take less when he can make more money by him offering Loma more than Arum? This has more to do with Arum wanting control and expecting anyone who wants to fight either Loma and Crawford to agree to his terms and fight on ESPN. Pretty much is the same thing with Hearn and AJ, they will turn down 50 million just because Hearn wants to run the show and have the fight in the UK.

I cant believe someone said Mikeybshould just accept what ever low ball offer Bob Arum says???
