I think that knock down happened because Loma got a little ****y. I think it was a great lesson for Loma, and if he learns well from it, he won't let it happen again.

I think Loma can spend the first 6-7 rounds dancing around Mikey, throwing his pitty pat combos with some strong shots from time to time, but play it mostly safe, make Mikey miss a lot, and that will fatigue Mikey. I believe Loma has the better stamina, and really capitalize on it in the second half of the fight, once Mikey becomes tired. Loma will maintain his very high pace all throughout, and unless Mikey lands something lucky and very precise, I see Loma getting a UD or late stoppage.

Loma does have a chin. The knockdown happened because he was coming forward and got stopped in his momentum, not because his chin gave out.

Loma hides some very strong shots inside those combos. Out of 3-4 thrown, 1-2 will be hard shots, but the opponent can never tell which one, which is how me he manages to get in the good body shots. A couple of quick distracting shots upstairs to bring up the defence, and then bam, a strong body shot right into the opening.

It is, because mikey will throw more if he has to and can use his feet. He's just smarter and unless there is big danger that puts him in a shell (power loma doesnt have), he'll recognize he's losing and would rather brawl relying on his power than sit back and get worked (althought that time can come if loma can make him work early and tire him).

This will be a tough fight, right now probably favouring mikey.

Style makes fights......Jorge is just a much better athlete and much faster than mikey, he is also a much better combination puncher than mikey also.....he elite level hand speed is what got him some success against loma.....mikey is just slower all around IMO....even though he is more technically sound overall......

Linares is a quitter simple as that, he could of continued but decided to quit...a hurt fighter doesn't get up that easy and walks casually to his corner. He has no speed, his foot work is rubbish and he obviously has no punching power if he can't knock out a skinny female build dude like bumachenko. Garcia would beat them both in the same night.
