Is it crazy to think Loma beats Mikey easier than Linaries?

The things that poster is forgetting is that loma will be consious of mikey power and unless he is seriously stunned and prolly more than once...loma is gonna operate as normal......walters was a big puncher @130 did loma creep a round him? was he scared to throw shots etc??? Again Mikey will have to earn his respect.....and mikey will have a hard time landing against loma....as he is slower than linares......again mikey has a chance but loma ain't gonna just sit back and run(and be extra consious) because of mikey having power......

It's not crazy at all. I think Garcia's style will be easier for Lomachenko than Linares. Mikey is a textbook straight up 1-2 kind of fighter. I like Lomachenko by decision. Mikey is a very technically sound fighter and he has a decent punch, but I think his style is all wrong for Lomachenko. He just doesn't have the speed and finesse.

I rate Mikey higher than Linares in general, but stylistically i think Linares caused more problems for Loma than Mikey could.

Mikey is just too orthodox to deal with the switching angles and whatnot.

Style makes fights......Jorge is just a much better athlete and much faster than mikey, he is also a much better combination puncher than mikey also.....he elite level hand speed is what got him some success against loma.....mikey is just slower all around IMO....even though he is more technically sound overall......

Mikey just looks slower because he is ahead of the action and is already in great position to make a play. Mikey is just sharp and does what he does without flair.

Mikey is more experience as a pro (Which gives mikey the advantages of knowing what he can and cant do and when and where he can do it, when to turn up in a round and when not to etc etc)

now does all this mean lomachenko cant win? no but it means YDKSAB if you try to act like Garcia is a easy fight for lomachenko. Facts are just facts.

I think that knock down happened because Loma got a little ****y. I think it was a great lesson for Loma, and if he learns well from it, he won't let it happen again.

I think Loma can spend the first 6-7 rounds dancing around Mikey, throwing his pitty pat combos with some strong shots from time to time, but play it mostly safe, make Mikey miss a lot, and that will fatigue Mikey. I believe Loma has the better stamina, and really capitalize on it in the second half of the fight, once Mikey becomes tired. Loma will maintain his very high pace all throughout, and unless Mikey lands something lucky and very precise, I see Loma getting a UD or late stoppage.

Loma does have a chin. The knockdown happened because he was coming forward and got stopped in his momentum, not because his chin gave out.

Wonder how different the tune would be if Loma never got dropped. Wonder what people would try and go off of. Seems like because Loma got dropped, that's an automatic win for Mickey lol

That's a great quote, but i think mikey will have trouble trying to think ahead/out think of loma, he just really throwing to much at you...........
