great fighter but we have seen plenty of greats. he doesn't belong at 135 imo but he looked good. the guy can fight point blank but when articles like this come its like come on man stop it.

Title is reaching. And exactly why its hard to compare fighters at face value. Everyone has a different career path from the start to the end. Bernard and Marquez lost early and didnt really achieve greatness til their later years. Some started off hot and flamed out just as quickly, (e.g. Fernando Vargas). Some had a path set up for success like Oscar. Manny was unknown and came out of nowhere. Floyd had the tools and wins but was marketed wrong. Loma is very good right now, best fighter today. But lets not act like he is 20 years old and doing this at a young age. Any fighter who stays amateur as long as he did I would expect to be pretty seasoned in his first pro fight. So yea, he has three titles at 3 classes in 12 fights. But hes not green. So its time to stop acting like he is Ryan Garcia new and doing overly amazing things.

Loma's skillset is special no doubt, as is the fact that he keeps moving forward and is in his opponents face all night. Brilliant stuff. However, you are **** on when u make reference to the 400 amateur fights and his age. The guy was already more seasoned in his pro debut than most guys with 15 or 20 fights.

That’s a very fair point about his age. Great fighter without a doubt. Special talent. But to compare his 1st 12 fights at age 30 to guys that were 10-13 years younger when they fought fight 12 is unfair.

Loma is great. Would 21 yr old Loma do same at that age is something we will never know.

I just wish we could enjoy his journey without all the negativity and pro white/ Anti American garbage.

I couldn't agree more (Floyd was champion at 21 too). On one end, there's those who say he's a hype job (which is ridiculous), then there are others saying he is the best ever lol (which is equally ridiculous).

He's simply an outstanding fighter who we still don't know what his ceiling is. I am looking to see how he handles his big test at 135 (Garcia). I am not sure 135 suits him well right now, but kudos to him for having the heart to take on the challenge.

Stop! Tank damn year got on Twitter and cried when Floyd said he wanted him to fight Loma, and when asked after his last fight wouldn’t even say his name. Tank knows Loma right now is too much. But, hey, TMT.

Garcia could be one to best Loma, but not based on skill, based on the huge size advantage and power. Garcia is better at it all than Linares and Loma got a handful there.

If Loma has to go to a guy who can legit be a good WW to find an equal, that says enough about a guy his size.



I wonder if you’re aware of how dumb you sound. Loma hasn’t fought at his natural weight in a long while, and Linares is not a bad fighter. He’s good, likely only loses to Loma and Garcia at his weight. Loma was much much smaller than him.

To say Loma is nothing special as a pro is the height of ignorance or extreme hating. My guess, both. I don’t even need to debate you, you say this to anyone in and around professional boxing and they’ll tell you to leave for talking while ******.

Tbh its not fair to bring up Ali. He's the only fighter in history to beat 4 Olympic gold medalists (Patterson, Frazier, Foreman, and Spinks), and did it at HW. (Not to mention he beat Spinks in his 18th year as a professional.) Great stuff.

However, bringing up Floyd is largely due to this meme going around net comparing their first twelve fights. I'm likely much younger than you, so I understand if you haven't seen it, but I assume others here have.
