True. Canizales was a master, one of a kind fighter. Loma seems cut from the same mold.
Both guys are just fun to watch. Thanks for reminding me.

I don't get it. The only place that you would think would be flooded with insightful comments about CLEARLY the best boxer currently AND the best fight of the year so far, but no, people have to come here and go "yea he's ok. nothing special". Being a snob does not make you special.

Tell me which fight was better than Loma x Linares this year?
          AJ's? snooze fest
Wilder's? untill the ko he was getting booed at Barclays
          Ryan Garcia? completely forgettable
          Charlo? koed a nobody
          Tank? ok fight
          Broner? average at best
          and the list goes on.

I must be watching a completely different sport

Yes, Loma is great and I love to see him fight, but this "we've never seen anything like Loma" stuff is getting out of hand.
He lost to Castillo and started to cherrypick from there on.

If he was black he will still be 5 fights away from his first title bid....... oh **** did I just say that . If he was American the world will just be hearing about him now. If he was from the U.K. he will be knighted already and probably a statue somewhere near Trafalgar Square

You mean he beat Castillo with an injured shoulder, and then went on to rematch him immediately and completely shut him down? Lol

Cherrypick the guy you "lost" to in your next fight? Come on buddy lol

Loma actually lost to Salido. We're still waiting on that rematch.

Love Loma but you guys have to live in reality.

nope Loma defeating Joshua would make him slightly above average as a fighter. see I can be a ****** bas tard just like you

Love Loma but he was 25 when he went pro, and has been given the chance (key point) to fight in these contests. He's a special talent, but he is also 30 years old lol

At 30 Floyd was a 4 division weight champion and p4p champion. By 31 he was a 5 division champ and the biggest attraction the sport had ever seen.

Have we ever seen this in 12 fights? No

But by age 30, his resume isn't something we "haven't seen".

Isn't Mikey 30 right now? 4 division champ too with a 2-year lay off.

                      Let's just slow down lol
That’s a very fair point about his age. Great fighter without a doubt. Special talent. But to compare his 1st 12 fights at age 30 to guys that were 10-13 years younger when they fought fight 12 is unfair.

Loma is great. Would 21 yr old Loma do same at that age is something we will never know.

I just wish we could enjoy his journey without all the negativity and pro white/ Anti American garbage.
