I am actually inclined to agree with this. There is a point of diminishing returns, and I think Lomachenko may have bumped up into it as far as moving up. He can obviously compete at 135, but it naturally puts him at a disadvantage in power. I think it is what happened to Roman Gonzalez, who kept climbing divisions sometimes after only a couple fights, and just got to a point where he no longer was able to translate his talents to overcome the power. I also worry about this with Terrance Crawford at 147- those top level guys will really punch through his great defense if he can't match their power to some degree.
Lomachenko may need to move up or stay at 135 for top money fights, but I don't really think he should. He can flirt with "all time great" depending on his decisions over the rest of his career. Be a shame for him to lose that chance because he physically tried to do more than he naturally could.
