I literally just had hitking talking smack about Linares not being any good..ignoring how overmatched physically Lomancheko was in this fight. Literally it feels like some fighters have to getting into a firefight with a tank to be respect around here. If you are man enough to get a pro boxing license, lace them up and fight for a living you deserve respect and exceptional talent should be commended.
I’ve been saying Linares isn’t any good. Like since before Loma was a pro fighter.

Doesn't change the fact that Lomachenko is smaller and can go back to 130, Mickey can't.

Roy Jones held a belt in the HW at the same time Lewis did, doesn't mean Lewis wasn't bigger than Roy.

That was a great fight! Linares fought well and had his best success throwing combinations and at distance. The knockdown was legit and he caught Lomachenko being careless and over confident. But Lomachenko didn't lose focus and tightened up that defense a bit more, finding better spots to punch. That last set of punches, throwing in that sneaky body shot were great. What an entertaining fight!

Linares is very good boxer but he completely lacks intangibles to be great.

Dude is still 3 division champions, not a cab driver.

They all on Linares boxrec to find the excuses at this point.

Cong**** Loma, 3 weight world champ

I'm impressed with his performance. I rate Linares, he's a good fighter and a bigger guy, but even with the KD I had Loma with a healthy points lead.

              That body shot was brutal.

I would much rather see Mikey fight Lomachenko. But I don't think Arum is gonna risk Lomachenko against a guy that he's had a bad business relationship with. So Linares will be a decent alternative.

LL was half a foot taller than Roy and had at least sixty pounds of natural weight on him. Probably more. Lomachencko is actually listed as an inch taller than Mikey and they both started their careers as featherweights. Bad comparison.

Too many posters are putting Linares down. He is the best fighter Loma has faced as of yet. The fight proved it so. And the Linares of today is not the same fighter who lost to Demarco. He has become a better fighter and he is a solid B+ to A- fighter. But Loma wanted it more and showed he is better. Loma was just willing to take more than Linares and that has always been Linares achilles heel.

Yep, decent alternative. Now find a post where I said Linares is a world beater.
