Junior is shot. Considering the pressure that was placed upon his shoulders he did quite well, he was never going to surpass his father, that's just crazy.

It must be hard feeling humiliated and ashamed especially after the Canelo debacle, but it'll be like trying to win back money you've just lost on the horses if he tries to come back and restore his pride by erasing that shame with a win.

Even if he does beat his next opponent, he lost to one of the best P4P fighters so no matter who he beats people will always remember that disgraceful performance against Canelo.

I've always thought Juniors father's constant meddling in his sons' training and at fights was distracting, and could even see a hint of resentment in junior whenever his father was barking at him.

And even at 154.5 you were allowed to go over one pound. I just don't know what Chavez Jr was thinking.
You do know the Canelo fight was at 164lbs? Right?

Chavez Sr. is probably more likely to win a world title at this point than either of these idiots.
To be fair Jr. Had skills. He Knocked Andy Lee out in like 7 rounds. And Saunders went live and death with him.

GGG and him would of been an AWESOME fight a few years back when it was 1st announced.

Chavez Sr. outboxes Golovkin over 12 rounds.

Anyway I was hoping Senior would threaten to "take matters into his own hands!".

And effectively ruined Sergio Martinez for good.

IDK, I'm a huge fan of JCC, but the dude is pretty overbearing and disrespectful of his own family. He seems like he's everywhere, on every show, talking **** about his boys, giving them ultimatums and ****. Good grief, they are both grown ass men. He wonders why they lack discipline? They were ****ing spoiled to hell as kids! That's why. He continues to talk down to them as adults and he'll be wondering 20 yrs from now why they still haven't grown up. Parents, future parents, take note of this lesson. You are not raising children, you are raising adults. Think about that.

They get criticized because of their effort.

If mentality and emotionally Chaves Jr. was unprepared for the Alvarez fight, that can happen. But that was one of the worst performances I can remember in a big money fight in a long, long time.
