Comments Thread For: Chavez Sr. Gives Ultimatum To Sons Julio Jr, Omar on Careers

The legendary Mexican Hall of Famer Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. has faith that son Omar Chavez will put forth a solid performance on May 19 in Durango, and that Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will be able to return to the highest level after a comeback in July or August , as part of an ultimatum that put them, already tired of so many negative reviews.

    "Careers"..........

Chavez Sr. is probably more likely to win a world title at this point than either of these idiots.

I thought the ultimatum would be that he's putting them up for adoption for disgracing the Chavez name.

We want the winner of the WBSS.

Groves can run, but he can't hide.

I wonder why Chavez went down to 163 for the Canelo fight when the mandatory weight was 164.5.

And even at 164.5 you were allowed to go over one pound. I just don't know what Chavez Jr was thinking.

LOL Chavez Jr woulda thrown more punches if he'd just gotten a couple hours more sleep that day? Wtf man.

But w/e. Both of their careers have largely ran their course I think. And idk why Omar is getting sh^t on so much. Chavez Jr is the one who's "f#cked up the Chavez name" if anyone has. But sh^t man your kids gonna do what hey do. Can't raise them in this industry & expect them to just close up shop cuz you said so really. They still gotta earn a living & boxing might be both guys easiest means to earn a living for max income & minimum time so why wouldn't they continue to eff with boxing?
