Exactly, which is why he is willing to say that he interested, in order to assess what the deal actually is, but not willing to accept the terms. Personally, I have no problem with that reasoning.
I have googled this for you... genuinely didn't find anything satisfactory.
Look, I'm not inclined to be argumentative. Personally I hope and think Wilder wins the fight. But I don't think either side want the fight now and I think it's disingenuous to try to blame Hearn for not accepting what amounts to a BS offer. You'd have to be insane to enter into a $50+m contract without knowing exactly what the terms are.
So you agree that Hearn never accepted the financial terms. It didn't appear that you did from your first posts. What I haven't had anyone explain to me is, how agreeing to the proposed financial terms legally obligates Joshua to fight. Certainly it legally binds him to the financial terms, but only if they fight.
I'm impressed with your ability to Google Hearns last few interviews, read or listen to them and respond to me and others in this thread in such a short time frame. Hats off to you.
Exactly, dumbass, all the more reason why Hearn isn't willing to give an assurance that he's willing to accept the contract.
Hearn has already stated that he's interested in the offer, he's just not willing to "accept the offer" as Finkel has asked him to without knowing what it is specifically that he's accepting. Because as you have so ingeniously pointed out, such assurances can be legally binding.
I'm not questioning the ability of Wilder's team to guarantee $50m. I'm asking whether there's any evidence that they actually did it. It just amazes me that someone who purports to be legally trained doesn't get this.
Lol okay buddy. I'll be sure to consult with you on my next deal. You know b/c I'm a dumba*s and all
Here we go again UK fans taking Hearns BS side.... So now it’s Joshua wants too fight in the UK only and he admits in it makes more money in the US???? UK Stan’s have too be trolling at this point y’all can’t be this unbelievably ******ed right????
It should be in the UK because it'll be a much bigger deal and better event over here. As a viewer would you really prefer it to be held in a silent casino rather than a raucous stadium?
A packed out MGM Grand, Barclays Centre or MSG are not a 'silent casino'. I'm British but that kind of biased attitude from a lot of British fans on here makes me cringe. Joshua has totally changed his stance since the 'offer me 50m'. He's the one that's had his bluff called, despite what Hearn was trying to claim.

Agreeing to the financial terms alone would not bind Hearn or Joshua to anything. It actually wouldn't even bind them to that figure until the other keys terms were worked out and there was some form of consideration.
People make price adjustments all the time after initial acceptance.
If Joshua was the real deal like Lennox Lewis, he'd just go to America and handle his business in the ring. Lewis didn't give a **** where the fight was, and he generated big crowds in Britain. He just wanted to prove his greatness and was confident in his ability, and knew that he had to fight in America to claim his rightful place in history. Joshua literally isn't fit to carry Lewis's jock strap. He's just a big stiff tree with basic skills. I'm British by the way.
No offence to you personally, but people believe what they want to believe without actually engaging their brains sometimes.
If Eddie Hearn is telling you out of his own mouth that the fight is worth more money in America than England doesnt that say the offer is real?
joshua makes 20 million in England no matter who he fights. so by hearn saying that the fight is worth more in America than England that automatically means that the purse is higher than 20 million.
so if the number is higher than 20 million and the only number that we've heard from hearn mouth is 50 million why do you still doubt it?
Barry hearn exact words last week were if joshua has 30 days to live then I would advise him to take the money, but if he wants to build a legacy, delay the fight 12 months.
What does Barry hearn mean by take the money? it means the offer is real
