Both are false. He agreed to the weight at 126, according to Loma, and his manager. He also was offered 400K initially as well, also according to Loma and his manager, who seemed to understand that 400K was a low ball offer. That being said, he has made bad decisions. Why accept the low ball 400k at 130, instead of 126? Made the fight much harder.

My understanding was that Rigo turned down Loma at 126 because he thought he was too small to fight at that weight.

He just fought at 130. Wouldn't be wise to try to fight at 118 when he's never fought there before and isn't a spring chicken. Too bad they don't have a tourney at 126. Now that would be interesting.

Good decision because he'll just stink out this otherwise exciting series.
Rigo is technical genius of boxing but the amateur mentality (i.e. win even it it mean stinking it out) is depply ingrained in him.

At this age even if he hadn't fought Loma this would be suicidal.
Good point! This isnt just a 1 time deal. And then he can blow back up after weigh-in and in between fights.

It's excruciating and even worse when you don't have months to take it off slowly. Add into the mix that you're training not for aesthetics but an actual fight and have to spar and you're close to 40 and put on more weight for you last fight. If you can't cut anymore then you really can't do it.
Just looking at Rig. There is no where to really lose it at? Except some muscle mass??? Googled it and a bunch of chicks doing it?? But it sounds beyond ****** the way they do it??? Counter productive for any boxer.

Litterly starve yourself. And then just do heavy cardio with NO type of weight training.

*** that! He would look just as bad as ODH did against Pac. Both look like that have AIDS.

nobody wants to see this quitter. he talked about fighting for years and then when they got in the ring, refused to fight, ran and quit. What a joke.
